This right here. I actually couldn't care much about the game; strategy and cards... and strategy cards... aren't really my thing. But I'm liking the hell out of these shorts, and I hope Marvel does decide to turn it into a series.

and with two hunters one a girl and one a boy. the girl will prolly be the base model we keep seeing and the boy is pretty much the same, but just a suggestion.

@@jadenthecommenter There was a live-action show about them. Marvel's Runaways, aired in 2017 on Hulu. Ended in 2019. They had 3 seasons. I haven't watched it yet, but if u are interested tho, go ahead and see for urself...

@@jyannananana1717 Personally I found most of the action in the others to be a bit eyeroll-ish or generic in nature (with a few exceptions like the cool molotov into fire car moment lol), but this short I was just totally here for, not a single critique.

@@OneWingedRose I kinda agree with others that it lacks action but I don't mind it much...for me it's all cool, action scenes are nice but as a Nico stan I appreciate hers the most... How she went from being like a Leader in the Runaways after Alex betrayed them, to now where she has to adjust her role and be like Molly, more in charge of uniting them... I don't know which are the comics Midnight Suns Nico is tied to So I'm assuming It's a role she's never been into because in A-Force, it was Singularity that's uniting them...

She's a spellcaster. She has the Staff of One, which can cast any spell there is... once. Once she's used that spell it can never be used again.

@@kevinmalone4341 how bizarre and interesting. Sounds difficult to use. I'd go crazy wondering if I would need to save that spell for later or not lol.

@@TragoudistrosMPH thankfully not applicable to the game ;) However, I have seen in the comics that she actually learns new languages so she can cast the same spell again, just have to use different words, even if they are the same words really.

I have no idea who the f# she is since she was in none of the anime or movies I saw, and I saw a lot of animes and all the movies. And I have no idea who she's talking to either... so, to me, this video is just a showcase of all the other ones.

With that being said I’m curious who are the characters you’re most excited for in this game. So far mine would be venom, blade, hunter (cuz I wanna know their story). I’m holding out hope for a season pass 2 with Daredevil, Punisher, Moon Knight, and Elsa bloodstone but we’ll have to wait and see. So who are you most excited to play as??

@@giuseppepiuma1965 Yeah! There's 3 I'd recommend! The Original Runaways Collection by Brian K. Vaughn, The second series by Rainbow Rowell and Young Avengers and Runaways: Civil War! I highly recommend the original run it's sooo good! Tell me what you think about it if you end up reading it!

So not much in terms of discussion, but I like to imagine an MCU adaptation of THIS Midnight Sun story. The cast of the 5 characters you listed can either be actors who played those roles before, MCU or not. 1. Blade can be Wesley Snipes or Mahershala Ali. 2. Magik can be Anya-Taylor Joy who played as Magik from New Mutants (Fox, not MCU). 3. Nico, you already said it. Lyrica Okana from the show. 4. Lilith: Need to find a proper actress who can play this villain in this what if MCU take. 5. Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes): Gabriel Luna as Reyes from Agents of Shield.

I loved robbie reyes especially in the comic just wish hulu had gave him his series.

Haha I'm definitely with you on having bias😂 For me it is: 5. Lilith - it's not bad by any means, I just preferred all the hero stuff even if Blade's didn't have much going on. Actually on a personal level while I did broadly like it, the short felt slightly generic. Wasn't too exciting for me on the action end, but it's still nice seeing an origin for Lilith. 4. Blade - 100% the voice is what puts it above Lilith's for me 3. Magik - loved seeing a solid pairing that I can do in the game, and since I had recently seen the New Mutants movie and loved it, it was super cool to see more of her 2. Ghost Rider - love Robbie Reyes, he's probably the character I'm the most excited to hang with. It was cool to see the gang stuff acknowledged and off it's always awesome to hear him talk to or about Gabe. Big bros for the win! 1. Nico - and this is where my true bias comes in😂 love Nico. This was for me the most fun, creative and unique short. Fantastic to hear her giving love to Molly the cinnamon roll and I love the framing of a lot of the scenes. 10/10 zero complaints Overall for me they kept getting better with Lilith's being a solid base to start but also great as a prequel to help us develop some form of connection to the antagonist and caretaker before we even start playing. Incredibly hype for this game.

Obviously these are all just my opinions but mine is: 5. Blade - I'm growing fond of Blade from all this Midnight Suns stuff, but his short as you say was just killing Vamps in a mostly generic way (though that throwing bit was fun). 4. Ghost Rider - Mostly just beating up crooks in a generic way (though the molotov into fire car transition was really cool) 3. Magik - Mostly just killing minions in a kind of generic way, also it has that joke about why she's using a Sword when like half the cast of this game are using Swords and no-one talks about it lol, BUT it has a nice duo in Wanda and Magik and watching Wolvie watching from the shadows was really warm and sweet. 2. Nico - Pure character fun, no awkward action to critique, I'm totally here for it. 1. Lilith - Well animated, well acted, good plot setup, makes me want to know more about the story!

They definitely went to town with the Ghost Rider episode, but the first one is easily my favorite, great backstory established for the main villain (Darkhold used much more effectively than Multiverse of Madness) and done so with great hand-drawn animation.

I can see that...an archetype that goes all the way back to Robin when you think about it.

Nico sees herself as a den mother. So it makes sense

Yeah I loved the character showcases and deep dives. The Livestreams hav ebeen good too and I think I heard they have 1 final one of those coming Wednesday as well.

We’ll given how evil her parents where and just getting one bad thing after another dumbed on her then having to take care of her friends and be the leader of the team she knows a thing or two about keeping her moral compass right. One of the reason I love her character.

My guess is that they're fiddling with the framerates to give the animation a more natural feel. Recall that the Magik and Ghost Rider shorts had a bit of an uncanny valley look because they were too smooth. This one felt close to RL motion...not perfect but better than the Blade short.

@@johnathonhaney8291 I don't think that's the issue: for me, at least, on multiple devices, I get smooth then choppy framerates all throughout the video, but only on the CGI sections, not during the traditionally animated opening credits. Gotta be an issue they haven't fixed yet.

@@dumbboyfriend The CGI sections are what I'm talking about, actually. Ironically, the choppier sections make it feel a bit more lifelike.

My guess is that he's the in-between hero we saw in the Playstation game, been doing this longer than most of the others (do recall he started in his mid-teens) but still young enough to relate to them.

Nah Karolina was kinda forced by the TV series...and for consequence forced into the comics. What I'm saying here is that I don't mind Nico being bisexual, just that the Rock n' Roll chick nowadays is always homo. Which is kinda of a misconception

Considering the fact that Molly was the youngest Runaway member it sorta makes sense that Nico would call her for advice since she's now the youngest member of a team.

As they should...I give credit to series like Mass Effect for probing past the stereotypes to see what else may be going on.
