At the First Ministers' Questions today, Douglas Ross lead with questions about the double rapist that was moved from a women prison after Nicola Sturgeon intervened.
Nicola Sturgeon insisted that Bryson should be described as a rapist, after they were convicted of two attacks on women.
But, Ms Sturgeon dodged questions by Scottish Tory boss Douglas Ross over whether she thinks that Bryson is a woman.
Mr Ross raised the issue after Justice Secretary Keith Brown earlier this week said that Bryson should be accepted as a woman'.
The Nats leader said: “I think that rapist should be considered a rapist, that is what I think. That individual has been convicted of rapes and that therefore is the terminology.
“I’m not going to get into the individual circumstances of that particular individual’s claims to be a woman because I don’t have enough information about that.
“But the individual has been convicted of serious sex offences and that is the relevant consideration in terms of which prison they should be accommodated in.”
No evidence was presented at trial that Bryson has legally changed gender with a Gender Recognition Certificate. A GRC can currently only be obtained if a person has been living in a "acquired gender" for two years, and only after a diagnosis of gender dysphoria.
