Great haul

So sorry you ended up with a migraine and vertigo. My husband is suffering with his first ever episode of vertigo now. I am glad you recovered in time to enjoy what would be a trip of a lifetime for me. Your quilt is stunning. You amaze and inspire me with your needlework abilities. Hi I don’t know if you’re interested as a fairly new quilter but the Dear Jane quilt book of the 225 blocks made by Jane Stickle is being re-released on October 1st. Plenty of history as well. So enjoy seeing you so enthusiastic about quilting. I’ve been quilting for 20 years but lost my bug and started cross stitching during lockdown-thanks to you now I’m back with a new sewing machine and doing both!

What a wonderful adventure you had with amazing friends! So oh how sweet are those crocheted (?) flowers. So I am a quilter first, hand and machine piece, applique, cross stitch, embroidery....I cannot start another passion....but are those little flowers easy? Can't knit worth a darn. A fun time with your friends (except when you were unwell),and a wonderful shopping trip together. Loved that tot to toe Sox tool, must look out for one of those. One of my WIP’s is ‘Pastoral Pocket’😌. ‘In my garden’ is on my to do list but have linen to sort for that. Love how your kitties love your new quilt. Blessings and happy stitching.

Your trip/retreat sounds heavenly (well, except for the migraine part)! I haven’t been to anything like that in years. Hoping to spend some time over Christmas with my stitchy BFF. Your quilt is gorgeous…as is your stitching and, of course, your haul! Lol! So nice to see both Oreo and Ginger even though Ginger was on guard duty at the window…have to keep an eye on those outdoor cats in her yard!

I was in SLC at the beginning of September and went to Shepherds Bush for the first time. I would have died if I had seen you all there! I’m going to make note of the places you visited and maybe I’ll get back there someday. 🧵🪡✂️❤️😊

The red glasses look so cute on you ❤️ I was SO jealous when I saw the instagram posts from your trip. How fun!! Shepherd’s Bush has always been a dream of mine as well. I would still love to go there. I’m so sorry that you got a migraine. It seems that every time I go somewhere I get an ocular migraine which are miserable as well but regular migraines are awful! Oculars last about 30 minutes if you get on it immediately but you are blind for all of that time and same thing, I have to swallow some Excederine migraine pills, get an ice pack for my neck and lay flat for as long a it takes. Mine are always caused by my neck but I hate migraines. Glad you got better and had such a great trip! OMG..you got a Buttermilk Basin. Wool applique is my absolute love. It is so easy to do. You will love it!! One note - I don’t fuse. I know a lot of people do but I find it hard to needle through and you can just use Sue glue to tack down your appliqués and then stitch around them however you want (buttonhole stitch, whip stitch etc). I love wool applique so much!!

Hi Nicole! Just watched your new flosstube last night. I’ve been suffering with migraines for many years. I just wanted to check to see if you’ve tried the new monthly CGRP injection and the newer rescue meds. I take Emgality once a month shot then have Ubrelvy as a rescue Med when I start to feel a migraine coming on. The combination has been an absolute game changer for me. The Ubrelvy works so well as long as I take it at the first sign of one coming on and for me there are NO side effects like all the other things I’ve used before. I still have some breakthrough migraines but nothing like the 3-7 day ones that would send me to the ER. Those darn things are so debilitating! One other thing I use is meclizine for vertigo and promethazine for the nausea. Sorry to sound like a drug rep! Just have been so thankful there’s some better medications now. Stay well!!😊

Hi!! I live in North Ogden Utah about 20 minutes away from shepherds bush. I love it!! So on the swoon quilt, would a fat quarter bundle be enough fabric?? I want to make it with 16 blocks. How much French general should I buy?
