Stacie, I have to tell you this.. you were starting ur new projects u want to do next year. I got hungry , went in to fix my soup and give m my fur babies sardines. A treat. Love your quilts and stitching. You might try Elmer’s gluing the binding to the back and heat set it down over the stitching from sewing it down first to the front. Then you can stitch in the ditch on the front and it catches on the back with ease. When the quilt gets washed the Elmer’s glue washes out.
Love your choices for stitching. The inkwell quilt is beautiful. Congratulations on the quilting. It is a learned art so patience with yourself is needed. You will be surprised at your progress. When stitching straight lines be sure to quilt going opposite directions.that may stop the puckering. I like hand finishing the binding too, but I’ve learned to do the totally machine binding. It was a learning curve for me but thankfully I have a “quilt sister” who loves encouraging me with trying all things machine. Merry Christmas!

You are turning into a very skilled quilter! I have the urban farmhouse gatherings quilt on my list too, i have all the fabric but have not started it yet. Great job on your quilting! I’m sooooo tempted to do that BOM Club for that Christmas quilt…I replayed that bit a couple of times while googling the designer and the shop…lol! Loved all the Christmas stitching. So many wonderful samplers to stitch that I have been feeling overwhelmed and haven’t made much progress on my sampler WIPs. 😳 Maybe in 2022! Beautiful quilts!! I’m stitching Christmas well into January if not all year. It feels like items must be finished before Thanksgiving because there is so much to do in December. I do my own finishing and I haven’t felt like I could finish anything satisfactorily in December. Your stitching fabrics are fabulous!
