OHHHH, Nicole! I just love ALL your projects, especially your new EPP projects and how you store your hexis. So sorry to hear Stitch and Frame has closed (or is in the process of closing). I loved seeing you and meeting you there last summer when I was visiting my twin sister. I always look forward to your videos and seeing your progress which is beyond believable, especially since you also find time to work in the mornings. I would be happy to accomplish a quarter of what you do! 😁

Hi, Nicole - as I may have mentioned before, I took up knitting during the pandemic (I used to. knit about 5 decades ago) and you are one of the primary reasons!! Hubby keeps asking what all this yarn is coming in the mail!! I've finished two cowls, a complete afghan, and am also almost finished with a scarf for a friend for her b'day next month. Next up - a baby hat for friends' new baby. But I also just ordered the two new patterns you featured today and some of the Madeline Tosh wool!! Of course, I also have all my needlework and quilting to work on also. Have to. chuckle at. the rabbit hole you've fallen into with the quilting. I've been quilting. since the mid-80's. By the way, Ziggy and Callie say "hello"!! Missed seeing Ginger today!

And then you brought out yarn and shawls. Love knitting shawls too. Just not enough hours in the day. Now off to check out your show notes because I need to start more things!!! Have a great time away. Really looking forward to see all your progress.

I am sitting here listening and stitching on my 3/4 inch hexie project. No pattern just used a fat quarter bundle and sewing randomly. I love EPP! Another really good book is called All Points Patchwork. I also recently started to learn Sashiko embroidery too. Love the needlework stuff! Thanks for your video, as always Nicole!!

Naughty Ginger! Lol! But a very cat thing to do. It was great seeing you and all the things. You’ve really fallen down the rabbit hole of EPP. I’ve been working on a Grandmother’s Garden EPP quilt for ages. It’s in 30’s reproduction fabrics, so very cheerful and colorful. I tend to work on making hexies when I’m too tired to stitch or knit, so not making progress very quickly. Loved seeing what you are doing with the different fabrics. You mentioned all the RU-vid folks I would have recommended. I friend told me about Tula Pink a few years ago and I enjoyed her videos a lot. Love seeing your stitching and knitting, too. I have HATS Elizabeth Furniss and would love to start her (and several other HATS samplers in my stash)! Lately I’ve been pretty focused on Martha Dawson and really love it. Looking forward to seeing you when we see you!

I have just started Dear Jane with EPP and I am really enjoying it. Check into flat back stitching because the stitches don’t show on the front and you have clean/smooth edges. Still working on my cross stitch wips also!

Just a tip, on the hexi’s leave the papers in so they don’t become distorted as most of the fabric is cut on the bias. You can research this. The fabric is gorgeous by the way. Your quilt is beautiful too. Have fun

I inherited a big box of English Paper Piecing from a lady I quilt with in Florida. We met through a quilting group and have been friends since. Her Mom just went to an ALF and had to downsize so hence the box of hexagons and some pre made Pom Poms. Thanks you for mentioning Erica as I watch her videos and will go there to get some instructions. Another rabbit 🐰 hole 🕳 but so worth trying something different and I have quite a few jelly rolls. Love watching your quilting and stitching progress. I have to admit I found English paper piecing fun but if I hand sewed my quilt pieces then I stopped stitching. So now I mainly machine sew my quilts and stitch on samplers in the evening.

I love long videos!! I enjoyed seeing all of your needle arts. Even though crossstitch is my jam, I am just a beginner quilter and a very basic knitter. We are on a road trip with our trailer. It’s usually too bumpy to stitch while hubby drives but I try to have a knitting project along(scarves or shawls). The one I have with me is pretty simple but I can’t count like it requires and have conversations with my hubby at the same time. I recently bought Rejoice Evermore too. That’s a shame about your two crossstitch shops closing. You would think that with everyone crossstitching the stores would do well enough to be worth keeping open by someone even if the owners wanted to retire. At least there is mail order!! Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. Everything you do you do exceedingly well!! Thank you for sharing your love of stitching with us!

I've been out of the loop for a little while so I didn't realize that beautiful chart is doing is in A Heart Remembers! I glanced at the cover and kind of moved on without checking out the other designs (anything to slow my wish list down, lol.) I definitely have to have that one. Your quilts are so gorgeous! You are amazing ! I just can’t believe all that you’ve accomplished in a month. I recently stated EPP and really enjoy. I hopped on and ordered the grandmothers flower garden supplies and fabrics - thank you very much. Reminds me so Much of my Gramma. Just a note - I’ve been using silk thread to attach my pieces together and love it . I use Superior Threads 100 weight . It’s like buttah!

What a wonderful video!! I also do EPP and I love it. I love the Tilda fabric but I also love (and covet) Liberty of London fabric too. You know how silk is what we think of as luxury in thread, well the LIberty fabric is like “silk” for fabric. It is so soft and they have lots of pretty prints. I signed up to get fat eighth’s once a month as it is harder to get in the US. I loved your quilts and your stitching - there is just so much out there to make things. I follow Emma of Vintage Sewing Box on RU-vid and also IG. She shows how to make small items too from EPP like needle books, pin cushions and containers. I enjoy her videos when doing EPP as she has a very calming voice and is so relaxed about all of it. I hope you will check her out and see if you enjoy her too. I have been making a table runner for my mom who is 96, I am going to give it to her for Mother’s Day. I will post a pic on IG when I get it finished. I had to adjust the size down to fit her cabinet top. So sorry about Stitch & Frame but I don’t blame them for wanting to retire. Happy stitching and quilting…………………..

I love hexagons too. Started a scrap hexagon quilt in 2019, still adding more hexagons. I will take me another 3 years to quilt it also. But it's a fill in project and I like working on it.

Hi Nicole, Thank you for showing your English Paper Piecing Quilt start. I am going to be a first time grandmother and was looking for something special to do with some fabrics I collected a few years ago knowing they would be for the family cradle. It is a very vintage Tasha Tudor pattern in storybook form of numbers. Here you go influencing me again. Haha. We were in Charleston in early April. I only got to pick up my order from Fire Poppies. So bummed. I was really looking forward to seeing the shop. It was a bit to far for us to travel to Stitch n Frame but that will be my next trip to SC. Have a lovely week. Hugs.

I love the Tilda fabrics. It reminds me of the Liberty of London florals I have. I have some EPP hexi flowers I made in a beginner class probably 15 years ago. I found a pattern out of an old American Patchwork and Quilting magazine that I will use for a wall hanging…someday.🤔

Don’t be hard on yourself about the stitches on the diamond shapes. One of the best phrases you here at a quilt guild meeting is, “can you see it from a motorcycle traveling 55mph? Then don’t worry about it”. Lol

I had to laugh at your EPP start. You’ve done more than many do in a year lol. I’m working on a couple projects right now and it is so satisfying.

Love the ribbon in your bag so you might try the melting method. Try using a gas lighter waving the flame across a freshly cut ribbon edge melting polyester for a nice clean finish. Do not use gas flame on cotton. I so enjoy your videos.

Wow all I have done with EPP is one of the centers! You really have gotten to be an expert on EPP now too. With every new craft there is always so many fun things to get for it! I love the little plastic boxes - who are they made by? The yarn is beautiful. Have a great visit with your Mom and trip with your husband.

What a great plan to do those in the smaller flower. I have a question, do you bend to sew your hexies together? I’m trying the flat back method but am concerned about holding it as it gets larger.
