It was my grannys favourite and sadly she past away this year on the 30th of July from cancer so my mum and auntie sang this at her burial. She definitely would have loved it! :) love you granny 🕊
Lovin the 80s 1 u rock list is endless can go on the pinnacle of life and history comes down for me that Decade the 80s can't be matched touched a class league scale another dimension the World was can go on love go back in my Spirit to see and how and what i got up to perfection
At 0:26 you can see a rush of panic in her face cause she messed up the lyrics. The song originally starts "Just like a flower.." but she overplays her mistake beautifully. At 0:37 she laughes about herself. Such a sweetheart!
A late 60s/early 70s folk/singer songwriter feel to this song and hopelessly out of step with contemporary early 80s pop. Amazingly it broke through and won the Eurovision and became a pop hit in several countries. The strength of a good song works in every decade!
Just like a candle blown out in the wind Just like a bird that can no longer fly Just like a flower when winter begins I'm feeling that way sometimes But then as I'm falling weighed down by the load I picture a light at the end of the road And closing my eyes I can see through the dark The dream that is in my heart A little loving, a little giving To build a dream for the world we live in A little patience and understanding For our tomorrow - a little peace A little sunshine, a sea of gladness To wash away all the tears of sadness A little hoping, a little praying For our tomorrow - a little peace I feel I'm a leaf in the november snow I fell to the ground, there was no one below So now I'm helpless alone with my song Just wishing the storm was gone A little loving, a little giving To build a dream for the world we live in A little patience and understanding For our tomorrow - a little peace A little sunshine, a sea of gladness To wash away all the tears of sadness A little hoping, a little praying For our tomorrow - a little peace We are feathers on the breeze Sing with me my song of peace We are feathers on the breeze Sing with me my song of peace
Omg I remember singing this when I was on stage in the penlan club when I was just 15 year old I remember my dad's face he was so proud of me 🤗 love you dad xxxxx
Oohh Gooood ... finally after more than 40 years I can found this song and the singer. Thank u so much my Lord Jesus ... This song favorit my dad. His passed away 1990. Miss u so much Paa ... ❤️❤️
Listening to this song whilst watching the atrocities taking place in Ukraine on my TV , If only certain people in power could show the same love and optimism this very talented young lady from Germany can ❤️
when my dad was alive he would go to Alpine village in Los Angeles sometimes she'll come down here and visit and my dad has met her before in Germany before he came over to the states and he says that she is a very smart girl very pretty and she's got a good career in singing because he says she seemed so good sometimes he had tears in his eyes when he listens to the song but he says she talented girl. And I hope she can read this because you do a good job Nicole keep up the good work.Kurt
Made me remember ...one of the funniest moments ... Love this song ...but I'm sure that there is one more person who loves this song more than me... 😆😆😆
I love this song. A childhood favorite with a very uplifting sentiment. I think in this performance she messes up the first 3 lines. But you’d never know because she seamlessly fixes it. The expression on her face as she figures it out.
She certainly jumbles up the first 3 lines. Considering she sang the original in German she had a lot on her plate and recovered beautifully. An iconic Eurovision winner and a throwback to simpler musical times. It’s hard to believe we ll get great songs at the Eurovision again. Our choir will sing this at Confirmation in 4 weeks time as a prayer for peace in troubled Eastern Europe.
It's hard not to feel sorry for the poor girl. Her expression says it all. Bless her! She starts with line 2, then 3, followed by line 1 before recovering with line 4. Lovely song though, sung in both English and her native German.
I'm totally non-spiritual, but still love this song! (I think I prefer the multilingual version she did as the encore. Her English - no fault of hers, influence at the time - is a little too American.)
We all are put in this earth 🌎 to be kind take care of our world and others killing are being unkind will never be the answer in my belife take care everyone keep safe this will soon be over
