I was only 4 months old at the time and I always think of both victims heck the footage of his sister slumping over in shock and sadness of the verdict is ingraining and my heart breaks for her when I see that she couldn’t hold in her devastation that her brother’s killer was skating on the charges. What those families went through was cruel and heart breaks for them.

Thank you ladies for using your tragedy to make the world just a little better. My sister was murdered by her fiance in 2011 so this was so personal for me. Domestic violence can happen to anyone and even when you are sure it won't happen to you it can happen to your loved one. It's way too common.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Sigh. It is rough. My aunt was enabled by her abusive husband to drink herself to death and she was also physically/mentally abused by him and that was hard... I can't even imagine a direct murder. I'm sure this type of video is triggering, but so good they are trying to turn tragedy into success for struggling women.

I'm so sorry for your loss! It's terrifying. I sometimes worry for my sister, too, since we grew up watching our mother battered. I worry she, like our mom, wouldn't tell anyone or report it if anything ever gets scary for her. My sister is the strongest woman I know, but we all have our innermost personal self doubts and esteem issues. The way Nicole hid it from her sisters, our mom did exactly the same. My mother recently died of heart failure, and after her funeral I finally opened up to my aunties (my mother's sisters) about our past and how she/we got out. It answered some questions and filled in a few blanks for them, mended a rift or two. They have a better understanding of her now, I think. It's caused many tears, but I'm told it's been a healing experience for them, and I feel the same for myself. It was a heavy burden keeping that secret for all those years. You'd think us women in my family should be closer because of it, but the secretive nature of domestic violence meant none of us spoke about much of anything until many years later. I was the only one who got therapy, so I know talking about it can defuse the pain and bring more focus to the healthiest ways to heal. It's brought my Aunties and me closer now that they know. I wish I could've told them sooner, but my mother would've been absolutely ashamed, something I could never convince her wasn't anything for her to be embarrassed about. Still, there's this stigma of shame for the victims/survivors of the vicious cycle of battery that doesn't even make good sense. One thing that might've held our mom back from saying anything is... "Just leave," or "just report it," isn't always the safest advice; my sister and I both know it from what our mom and us went through. I've asked my sister "is he treating you right?" kinds of questions over the years in adulthood, and I can only know what she tells me. I respectfully believe her whatever she says, no matter what, and I leave it at that. She's a gorgeous woman who dates big guys that work out, and sometimes their personalities are crappier than they're worth.

My mother recently passed away, and my stepdad (bless his heart) donated all her clothing to a local battered women's shelter because she survived being battered by her ex-husband. As kids, my sister and I saw the abuse, yet she still wouldn't tell anyone or report it, not even after they divorced. I won't keep her secret anymore. It's part of my past too. I wonder about Nicole's kids too. Did they see it; did they know? It's a helpless feeling. I hope they're okay.

Nicole Brown inspired me to leave my abusive husband in 2001. I had a 4 year old daughter and an 11 month old daughter at the time I left. My ex still tries to be abusive towards me by manipulating our adult daughters and our granddaughter. The legal system is a joke, but I have been remarried to a wonderful man for 20 years and even though my daughters do not speak to me because they have been brainwashed by their dad, I will always love them and be here for them.

Seeing the baby sister crying was heartbreaking and started to cry myself by the end. Nicole should still be alive today and have died an old woman in her bed not being repeatedly brutally stabbed and the fact they tried to villainize her is disgusting even if she was a “party girl” that didn’t give him (or anyone else) the right to kill her she’d only be in her 60’s now if she was alive today and be a grandmother that now her grandkids will never get to meet and have to hear about her through their great aunts great grandparents or their parents who were just kids when their mother died and they were just sleeping upstairs and that night has probably haunted them all these decades later. With true crime murder cases my heart breaks for the victims who died such horrible ways and their families who grieve them.

It tells the stories of about 7,000 Blacks, mostly men, but women and children, too, who were LYNCHED by white people who never were arrested let alone tried in court. People like those who murdered the 14 year old Emmett Till in Mississippi because they accused him of whistling at a white woman. I never thought I'd be in that situation, but it happened. And I was terrified to tell anyone, until he moved out and I cut ties with him. How could you not understand why OJ wasn't found guilty? The "evidence" against him just didnt add up. It rested on the stupid gloves that didn't fit as well as SPECKS of blood and those specks had preservative in them. Reasonable doubt was ALL OVER the case. There was no motive. There was no murder weapon ever found, nor any bloody clothing. The prosecution's narrative and timeline, that OJ was able to do ALL of this by himself with no accomplices, then make his flight (at Los Angeles International Airport) in a timespan of TWENTY-FIVE MINUTES, didn't make any sense and quickly fell apart. And then you have the lead detective, who "found" the "evidence" , who actually pleaded the Fifth on the stand at the trial for planting evidence. THAT'S why OJ was found not guilty. And this was just the things covered in the trial. There was a lot that went on outside the trial, like the fact that the reason why there was so much doubt about the timeline was because Marcia Clark, for some strange reason, actually had Nicole's phone records sealed (I've read that it was for SEVENTY-FIVE YEARS) after Nicole's mother Juditha said she spoke to Nicole at 11PM ..... when OJ and his entourage would have already been gone for the airport. Then there was the fact that Ron Goldman's boss, a man named Brett Cantor, was actually murdered IDENTICALLY to how Ron and Nicole would be, and according to his autopsy, his killer (s) even used the same kind of knife that was used against Ron and Nicole (and Ron also had several coworkers who also got murdered, though in different ways than knife attacks).

Denise absolutely hit the nail on the head regarding what it is like to be in an abusive relationship. After I left my abusive ex, I got my validation reading a story about Nicole in Time magazine. I read the article and what Nicole endured and felt as if I was reading an article about MY life. So many parallels which shocked me to the core....not only regarding OJ's behavior, but how Nicole handled everything...her journal entries, her pictures, and how she reacted after escaping from her prison of control. Ironically, my journal was ignored by the GAL, which was my right to have entered into our custody trial. For more on my story, please pick up my book, "...Until You Die": The Narcissist's Promise.

Again, it's unfortunate, tragic, sad, and naturally, her sisters are going to say nothing but the best about her. She never should have gotten involved with him, whether he was married or not. But she and her sisters and whole family, probably, were dazzled by his fame and fortune. Similar to drugs, she should have just said NO! But, she, they, took a risk and enjoyed the ride until it got rough. No one will admit it. No one will talk about it. A teenager had no business with someone 20 years older, of a different race, etc. It was a recipe for inevitable divorce due to all the differences and the way they came together. THEY gambled and lost. STOP blaming everything on O.J. Accept some responsibility.

Along with the Browns, the filmmakers spoke to friends both famous and infamous, including Simpson houseguest Brian “Kato” Kaelin, whose laid-back demeanor on the witness stand at the 1995 trial made him a household name; Faye Resnick, who wrote a tell-all book; and Kris Jenner, whose ex-husband Robert Kardashian, to her dismay, joined Simpson’s defense team. Nicole’s two children, who have stayed out of the public eye and seemingly remained close to Simpson until his death last month, did not take part. They were both busy starting families of their own, Moore said. The sisters felt it was finally time to revisit Nicole’s life and legacy. They have grieved in different ways, and sometimes grew apart. Their parents have died. Oldest sister Denise Brown, who gave wrenching trial testimony, never hesitated to pin the stabbing deaths of their sister and Ronald Goldman on Simpson, and became a vocal advocate for domestic violence victims. Although she had known the marriage was volatile, she did not think of Nicole at the time as a battered woman, even after Simpson was charged with assault on New Year’s Eve 1989. Nicole, after a week away, chose to return home afterward.

But 2024 has given a new appreciation to victims whose stories were otherwise diminished and forgotten. Only with time may the truth prevail. The children were the real victims.
