The shocking O.J. evidence nobody saw

Tom Zenner Scandal

Legendary LAPD detective Tom Lange was one of the first to arrive at the horrific crime scene at Nicole Brown Simpson's condo shortly after the murders. From there, he went to OJ"s house, thinking OJ could be a victim. For the next year, Detective Lange and his partners collected massive amounts of evidence that could have convicted OJ Simpson, but it was NEVER ALLOWED IN THE TRIAL. Lange speaks exclusively with Tom Zenner and Kato Kaelin and lists unknown details of what they found. A receipt for a knife was purchased just weeks before the murder. What OJ told him when he returned from Chicago. OJ's bloody finger. All of this is discussed in scintillating fashion, including how Lange grabbed a phone call, called OJ's cell phone, and proceeded to speak to Simpson during the infamous white Bronco slow-speed chase the world was watching. This is what I've been saying for years! I remember this fiasco of a trial and was watching it live with a friend. When we heard the verdict, we were not surprised at all because of that awful, angry/hostile jury. It also didn't help that they chose two of the weakest prosecutors out of the whole office of the district attorney who behaved as if they were being paid off. Those two could've come straight out of a Tijuana courtroom!They should've picked seasoned prosecutors who had tons of trial experience. A perfect prosecuting team would've been the two prosecutors who got Manson & family convicted: Vincent Bugliosi & Stephen Kay. Vincent Bugliosi went on to make a video (available on RU-vid) on the poor performance of the prosecution. It is something to listen to, and I recommend watching it. It's like getting a front row seat to the most bad a*s law school lecture you'll ever hear!

Totally agree with you that Ito was in way over his head. He seemed preoccupied with the news media coverage and having cameras in his court room allowed the defence to play up to the cameras, making a mockery of the justice system. Also something else about Ito not many people know is that while Cochran was the Assistant D.A. for Los Angeles County, one of Cochran's subordinates was Lance Ito which explains the power dynamic in the court room with Cochran having a lot of free reign to do as he pleased and Ito green lighted it all. I have to wonder if Ito staying out of the media spotlight all these years is perhaps some embarrassment over the way he handled the trial of the century.

@@athena_the_hun1097 Well said and I fully agree with you. That jury wanted pay back for Rodney King at any cost, even if it meant setting a double murderer free. I am honestly surprised that the law allows this form of "justice". Also the double jeopardy law is even more nonsensical. We have literally got video tape of multiple jurors saying it was pay back for Rodney King and they didn't do any deliberating as they had already made their mind up, and the less than 4 hours of deliberation was a stalling tactic to deceive people into thinking they were considering the evidence. Surely in any sane world of justice that would be enough to order an immediate retrial due to the jury being in contempt of court?
@Romulan2469
@Romulan2469 14 дней назад
Bugliosi was way ahead of his time. It's a tragedy that such a great mind and the best prosecutor we will ever know has since passed. What I liked about Bugliosi's style is that he went purely on the facts without injecting bias and put together one heck of a convincing argument to even the most biased and incompetent jury in the world like the OJ jury. What a missed opportunity in the DA not having Bugliosi come out of retirement to try this case for the prosecution. I still stand by my belief that even though he wouldn't have gotten a guilty verdict and the result would have been the same, he would have completely nullified all the lies and conspiracy nonsense theories by the defense which, because of the grade F effort from the team of Marcia Clark and Chris Darden, have left the OJ case open to these theories decades later. With Bugliosi, the world audience would come away with a strong impression of his guilt and not a bunch of lingering questions of police screw ups and a conspiracy to frame OJ Simpson.

Yes Tom Lange is a legend, a huge asset to the LAPD throughout his career and also an asset to his country for serving in Vietnam and getting the Bronze Star. Whilst Fuhrman didn't plant evidence during the OJ crime scene investigation, he absolutely wasn't a good police officer based on his comments on tape and it's a shame he was directly involved in identifying the glove at Bundy and Rockingham as that allowed the defense to play up their racist conspiracy theory.

Anyone who lives in colder climates and had soaking wet all leather gloves either from rain or snow, knows that when dried and you try to pull the gloves on again, it will be almost impossible. The jury from southern CA were not familiar with this. As a retired OR/RN, blood can wet and then when dry on absorbent materials leaving a crustier feeling that water does not leave. Cockran said in an interview he told Darden to not put Furhman on the stand, it would be a mistake. The prosecution ignored that tip, forewarning. The defense had Furhman on tape, he took the 5 th, he put a stain on himself, and his police force, their evidence was viewed as disreputable.

The prosecution had no choice but to put Fuhrman on the stand. They had no idea he would plead the 5th in advance of his taking the stand. They had to put him on as he identified the bloody gloves at both crime scenes and the blood spot on the Bronco. The mistake the prosecution made was not doing some damage control by presenting the Fuhrman tapes in advance of the defense and mitigating that with positives Fuhrman had done for the black community including helping to free a black man wrongly accused of murder. The problem was they left all of that out and the defense had free reign to attack Fuhrman with all of these credibility issues. This was pure incompetence on the part of Marcia Clark and Chris Darden. Bugliosi would never have made those mistakes.

Fuhrman took the 5th 6 months after he originally testified. He had to take the 5th for all questions directed towards him, he wasn't able to pick and choose. @@sksimmons1336 Fuhrman was a mixed bag, I think he and his partner Brad Roberts did some good detective work on the OJ case, as they found the blood trail up OJ's driveway, the blood on the Bronco door, the glove etc, but Fuhrman's past racism cannot be ignored. What he said was vile and cannot be excused. Nonetheless, I think it would be good if Tom Z (@onedegreeofscandalous) could get Fuhrman and Lange together on one of these shows so they can discuss their differences. I especially want to know why Fuhrman seemed to think there was a bloody fingerprint on the gate as he indicated in his notes but didn't bother to tell anybody, not even the criminalist at the scene so that the fingerprint could be preserved and instead just wrote it one of the many pages of his notes. That seems like either a lie by Fuhrman to make himself appear better than Lange and Vannatter (as he was probably bitter that they took over the investigation from him and his partner), or, incompetence or laziness on Fuhrman's part. Personally, I believe what Lange said in that there were never any fingerprints on the gate and it was most likely a smudge mark as the experts went over that gate thoroughly for fingerprints and didn't find any.

Nearly all of the millions of sociopaths that live among us are capable of murder. They just need that trigger. OJ, saw a young, white, attractive guy show up to Nicole's, which he paid the rent for. He was angry because friends had told him of Goldman driving Nicole's car, he also paid for. That triggered him. I think the only reason why he didn't kill his kids is cause they didn't witness him do it, if they were not sleeping he would've taken out any witness including his own kids, which is why he had to take out Ron. Ron got there just as it was happening and saw OJ murdering Nicole. These murdering psychopaths like Chris Watts don't care about their kids, they have no empathy whatsoever, and they will take out every and any witness left behind. Justin and Sydney were lucky to be sleeping, pretty sure there would be 4 murdered in that house if they weren't.

Agreed, she was a credible witness. Marcia completely missed the ball here with not putting her on. In fact it seemed Marcia would only put on evidence or witnesses that were 100% kosher, which isn't the way a prosecutor should behave. As Tom L rightfully says, if you have evidence you put it all on, you can sanitize it later. If I was on the jury I would not be concerned if Jill had sold her story if it was after she reported seeing the Bronco to the police. Marcia and Chris screwed this case up. Vincent Bugliosi should have been the lead prosecutor on this case, he knew what needed to be done.

Just stop right there, she was not a murder one eye witness, she was an eye witness to seeing his Bronco in the area at the time. That is not an eye witness to a murder one, however, it does classify as an eye witness to examine. I wonder if people read the slip here. @Athens8677

@@owie4070 let's tell the truth though - Angelenos (especially black Angelenos) were angry about the Rodney King verdict. They saw this as an opportunity to 'settle the score', if you will, with an LAPD that hadn't really learned a whole lot since the Watts Riots of the 1960s. I don't know you from Adam, so I'm not going to imply anything about you personally (i.e., age, political or religious affiliation, etc), but I will say this - the vast difference between how black folks reacted to the verdicts, as opposed to how white folks did, is pretty darn despicable. But I guess maybe that's the human animal, right? I mean - 'justice' is a concept - but do we have a 'justice' system in this country? Not by many metrics. I was in my early teens during the LA Riots, and in my 20s when OJ was acquitted. The LAPD has changed a lot - far more transparent, far more accountable etc. I don't know if race relations in other cities has improved, but I think as long as we have a media that makes heroes out of certain people (George Floyd, Brionna Taylor, just to name a couple) - people will always be conditioned to believe the worst about each other.

@@TZScandalI know you or kato asked if he thought OJ went to kill her that night. It was strongly suggested through my research OJ was high on coke that night. To me he obviously went to kill her because he had the knife on him present. If it was to just stalk the knife would have remained in the bronco or at home. How could he survive a battle with Ron who knew marital arts and only escape with one cut? He would have been enraged and superhuman on that type of rage and substance. Detective testing him was once bronco chase was done and that was 5 days after the murders. That substance would have cleared his system by then. It was widely known OJ loved to party but hated it when Nicole did. I also thought it was proven upon leaving his home after returning from the recital before he stopped to murder her, he had made a stop at his dealer. Almost certain that rage and that ability to not be phased by Ron's physical ability was him very high and amped up on coke. No one brings a knife unless they've got a plan to use it IMO.
