It's all about distracting the world and keep it busy with such silly issues, instead of talking about Transgenders, how about talking about homelessness and children abuse?

@@germantrainer442 Why would a medical reason need to be "obvious"? There's no "obvious medical reason" for autism or any of a number of other differences from the average a person might have. Just because it's not obvious doesn't mean it's not real. And there are a number of possible medical factors that have been linked to differences in gender identity development. Some of them having to do with variations in exposure to androgens and estrogens in the womb, some having to do with partial or complete genetic insensitivities to those hormones, some even having to do with chromosomal differences. The line between invisible intersex and transgender is pretty blurry because people are assigned labels at birth based on a single characteristic and not tested for anything. And while root causes are variable (because the development process is a chain of events that can take turns at several points), there have also been brain studies done with brain scans showing some very interesting things in the differences between transgender and cisgender brains. But an important thing to note here is that people's medical information is confidential and none of your business. Another important thing to note is that transphobic attitudes lead to trans people being thrown out of their homes, cut off from healthcare and employment, pushed into depression and suicide and even murdered. That's a real problem.

@@germantrainer442 Brain scans show that that Trans people's brains are physically more similar to the gender they identify as than there biological sex. A trans woman's brain will look more similar to a cis woman's brain, and a trans mans brain will look more similar to cis men's brains, and this is the case before and after transitioning. Also many trans kids are abused by there parents for being trans, and many trans kids are kicked out and become homeless. One estimate shows that at least in Canada, which has a homeless population of 235,000, 40% of those homeless individuals identify as LGBTQ+, So LGBTQ+ acceptance could actually help the homeless crisis.

No matter what you think, Nicole's passport and birth certificate now legally say Nicole Amber Maines and female because she legally got it changed, so technically it is illegal to refer to her as anything else. Also gender identity and sexuality are two separate things, that's why there are straight trans guys, gay trans guys, straight trans woman, gay trans woman, and any combination of gender identity and sexuality.
