Elaine Zhao she's definitely not underrated, she chose her career path and she's happy with it. Even in her PCD songs and her solo pop songs she still uses her pipes. But choosing the path that sold the easiest (sexy pop) she opened up opportunities for herself to do things like this. She is more than pleased with what she's done in her life :)
I get what you mean, but on the other hand I get what Amy meant. It's like, so many people think that she's a two-bit pop singer, when really she has such a stunning voice and can perform with such beauty and emotion. Yeah, sure, she's probably happy, but it's a shame so many people don't know her true talent.
I am a native Argentine.. and we do not pronounce the "T" as an engligh "TH" sound.. so I am not sure why she is pronouncing it that way. The T in Argentina is a strong clear crist T sound. Nevertheless, I love her voice and her interpretation of the song.
Most people that sing this song, use it as a tool to show off their voice, Nicole Scherzinger used her voice as a tool to speak for the song, to let the song express itself through her. I have heard this song a million times, but this version is first time that I was actually able to Hear the song. Thank you, Nicole Scherzinger.
The original singer from Evita on Broadway Patti LuPone performed and won an Emmy for it. Nicole is the first person that has measured up and also gave me chills.
CassieJazz96 when I heard her at Pussy Cat Dolls, I thought this girl could sing! Then they gave them those crappy songs which could not show the full range of her talent. Finally, I'm happy to hear her this way!
People forget how talented she is. It’s as if she’s so fit & beautiful, her talent is irrelevant. She is one of the best singers of her time 🎉 so classy and versatile ❤
I love when the audience is quiet and doesn't rudely applaud at every impressive note. That's how you know you have a real presence. And you demand the attention of the audience. It's beautiful.
What an unbelievable performance. Sincere without overacting. Emotional without too much talk singing. She just sounded beautiful but chose the very moments to punch it, and crushed it when she did.
absoftitanium true she does not age, but she has had them. I’m not one to tell someone what to do with their face but she really didn’t need the surgery she was already beautiful. She still is!
Totally agree. No version i've ever heard was so passionate and captivating as this. No one else, at least that i have heard, used a Spanish accent on Argentina.
Absolutely world class performance. Perfect delivery. Beautiful emotion and expression. Not over done or under done. God given talent Nicole. Breathtakingly beautiful. Well done. 👏👏
This is one of the best performances in the history of musicals, even though technically is a concert, but it is what it is, simple as that... Amazing.
She's a classically trained opera singer so this has always been her thing. I personally think she should do this and what ever else makes her happy!! She's incredibly talented!!
She turned Andrew's offer to do Evita on Broadway down, to do XFactor. Easy, instant money over long term serious artist recognition & a fortune in spin off musical albums & collabs with the Alfie Boe's etc of musical theatre. Odd. Musical theater not cool enough? Judging talent shows pays well but it's not a respected career.
That was beautiful. Nicole Scherzinger took a different approach to this song than Madonna did. Madonna sang this with sadness and despair, while Nicole sang it with hope and encouragement.
+Kobe Busia Madonna knew it would be a bomb, so it sounded such with her child like voice that has pardon me, has lasted way further than it should have.
Okay so Nicole is 1. A fantastic singer. 2. An amazing dancer. 3. Has a wonderful personality. and 4. Is absolutely beautiful. And she's not a mega star right now because...?
***** Ah true. I have listened to one of her solo songs and it was awful. I liked the Pussy Cat Dolls but that venture set her back by so much because no one took them seriously. I really hope she does Broadway.
About 10 or so years ago I saw an interview of hers where she revealed she originally wanted to be an opera singer but those gigs were hard to come by and she needed a job really bad so she auditioned to be in a girl group. Now that she’s famous, I’m glad she’s finally able to showcase her opera skills. She is amazing.
Holy crap! She SMOKED THE SOUL OUT OF THIS SONG! I had no idea Nicole was this exquisite or sang and acted like a lioness-angel. Smoke then fire. I'm gobsmacked. Best ever.
Andrew Booth WHAT are you smoking? Most singers have to go through extensive training to attain the level of skill she exhibits. I assume you meant to say probably.
Actually I wasn't referring to her level of ability in her singing. Im talking about how although she can perform really well in this style, she properly don't feel natural to her or like singing in this particular style
+Carlos pires Listen to what original? Madonna? ha ha ha! As a vocal instructor with 20+ years of experience and having had students perform this song numerous times over the years, I challenge you to show me exactly where Nicole adds ornaments. And even if she did--This is HER interpretation not yours or how you think it should be interpreted! This isn't a classical aria where the emphasis is put upon singing it technically note for note. This is musical theatre, where its all about the actors' interpretation and their perception of the character. I'm not a Nicole fan, I was honestly looking for a good version to send to a student who is thinking of performing this song for an audition. I had listened to Patti LuPone, Elaine Paige, and Donna Summer sing it. I accidentally clicked on Nicole's version and it caught my attention immediately because of the emotion in her voice in the beginning. I had no idea she had this much talent.
It’s unfortunate that she’s been boxed in by the industry as a pop girl, but what many don’t know is she’s a classically trained vocalist. I agree! Broadway is def where she’ll shine.
DaOrigTruthSeeker 1) Madonna sang this song well in the movie 2) Regardless of Madonna or anyone else Nicole sang this incredibly well. She is clearly a trained singer not just an amateur pop singer.
So captivating, my goodness and her tone is absolutely stellar. She uses her voice to shape the dynamic of her sound, and serenades the lyrics with delicate Latin pronunciation. I also find it alluring how she floats her arms with gentle port de bras, almost as if she is emanating the spirit of Eva Peron. Would love to see her cultivate a career in Broadway because this performance exhibits the radiant talent she truly possesses.
AMEN Alexander...it's so breathtakingly beautiful!!! Love when she sings The Phantom of the Opera with a number of Broadway's Phantoms too. She does an AMAZING job!!! I listen to this all the time!! :)
Presence that is absolutely locked on, don't move, commanding......Flawless rendition! Chills. Goosebumps. Mesmerized. Deserves so much more! Claiming it for her.
I have probably watched this performance more than 50 times since I first discovered it about a year and a half ago. It's more flawless every time I watch it. It deserves the same norotiety that Lady Gaga's The Sound of Music performance garnered.
OMG I never knew the depth of her talent until this very minute. I kept getting goosebumps as she expertly hit each note flawlessly while delivering the gut wrenching emotion. Amazing!
+Charles W Thats not where she's making her money unfortunately as none of her songs have been huge hits. Hence why she's hosting, judging or making appearances and spreading herself across many platforms. You are so right though when you say her vocal talent is wasted........she's going down the wrong route
She was the main one in the Pussycat Dolls. She had the best vocals and what most would consider, the best looks and image. The band were successful here in the UK. She had the most success outside of the band although her music never really set the charts on fire. I think she's had the most success here in the UK, although none of her singles remained on the charts for long. She scored a number 1 before it sank in to obscurity. She made quite a few tv appearances here in the UK, either co-presenting, appearing as a guest or acting as a judge on the X Factor panel. I really loved her, but people didn't really warm to her. She absolutely blew the socks off everyone when she sang this duet with Sam Bailey at the X Factor finals. I dont think many people knew she had such a strong vocal range!
I had no idea either. Her voice is so amazing I feel a little teary eyed not just by her talent but by the fact that I didn't know. I listened to her sing phantom of the opera but this is my favorite so far. Going on a Nicole youtube binge now lol
Greatly acted as Lloyd Webber pointed out. The dynamics in her voice perfect, her vibrato controlled, exquisite performance. I wish she performed more songs like this, the style suits her so well
It is shocking how easily you can dismiss someone based on initial impressions. This girl is shocking in every way. Shockingly stunning, shockingly talented and shockingly beautiful.
She is so talented and has an awesome gifted voice that pop music does not do her voice justice. Nicole Sherzinger definitely belongs in Broadway and doing musicals, or something that showcases her talent ❤️
Jino Espera Burgos Ok, then she would fit right in with Nea Salonga, she’s both Jasmine, and Mulan’s singing voice, the ultimate Disney princess and Filipina as well
One of the very underrated female singers of all time. Sad where there are a lot of women in the music industry who can barely sing but sell millions instead, people like Nichole who are immensely talented are lurking in the shadows and only people who really understand music recognizes talents like her.
Eh stop putting other women down just to put one up. There are many that can sing, as you've seen the industry is far too competitive, you can't just be a "good singer" and pretty. She's extremely gorgeous and she's famous because she's been in the industry over 10 years and of course she's gorgeous. That's how she got picked to have the opportunity to perform this
@@FC-hj9ub telling the truth puts no one down...you obviously are very immature...the reality is...you only succeed if you can sell to the teens...mostly the girl teens....of course this song will attract adults...GET IT TINY?
There is absolutely nothing this fabulous woman can’t sing. She is my favorite singer of all time. She can dance (won dancing with the stars), she can act…and she is a genuinely a good person. She won’t bend her morals in order to have a “bigger” career.
@@heberthvieira6260 Oh man...where have you been? Hollywood is a dark place. Young beautiful women like her are targets for male grooming...from you know..... Executives who want to have a "business meeting" in their penthouse apartment or hotel room. You don't wonder how people who lack real singing ability and dancing ability become superstars??? You know there are occultic, and satanic symbols and rituals that artists are asked to participate in as harmless fun. Just search Lucerferianusm in Hollywood and see what people in "the know" has to say about it themselves. And also sexual grooming in Hollywood. It's more than just dressing provocatively in videos and singing the run of mill pop song. What's being asked of some artists is an encroachment of who they are offstage. Who wants to cozy up to and entertain an old sagging music Exec just cause he can "help your career". Disgusting! And don't dare REFUSE..... you get black listed! See what happened to Mariah Carey when she was only 19 in the music business and how a married EXEC groomed her. That same man ended up dating Jennifer Lopez.... whose career eventually blew up. Don't try to save yourself for marriage offstage... you'll get laughed at as one model who left the industry described after she refused topless photos that weren't apart of her contract. The expectation is that what you are on stage has to be who you are offstage..... is what they push. Models pushed into nude photos that weren't communicated beforehand and being groped by folks and pushed into private meetings with Execs at hotels. I saw a documentary of a male model who was sexually assaulted by an Exec. Disgusting! As beautiful as Nicole is.... no doubt she was approached by a sicko Exec's assistant for a "meeting".
I knew she can sing but omg, what a voice. She's got everything going on for her. All the way from her gorgeous looks, to her voice, to all the rest of her being...bravo Nicole, you're awesome👏👏👏
I'm looking at her skin and I can see she's not pale. I'm looking at her hair and I can see she's not blonde. But I can't help seeing Eva Perón herself. It only happens when a true talent works its magic.
My thoughts EXACTLY. ALW needs to get busy with an all-new production of "Evita" starring THIS girl! Yep, let's just go ahead and retcon Madonna Evita, lol.
MRG09100 I’m sorry to let you know that Eva Peron is not white she died her hair blonde and she avoided the sunI believe she captured her perfectly as is.
@@stopthelies4249 That's not how it works, genius. Latinos come in all skin colors, because it only refers to a geographical region, not a race. An "authentic latino" can be blonde with blue eyes or black with thick curly black hair. Educate yourself.
I just watched this video again. How did this woman not become a superstar? She has everything that a lot of superstars don't...including amazing talent.
She is on record saying she refused to sell her soul "to the devil". Meaning she stuck to her morals and values in hollywood. Superstardom in Hollywood is GIVEN not necessarily always EARNED! Some of the most talented people never hit it big...And some of the least talented people are mega stars. and FAITH is typically the problem. Her beauty is also a curse. No doubt she was a target of grooming for wealthy executives who wanted a piece. Occult hand signals are done by almost ALL huge artists....which is strange and telling. The industry is ran by the occult hidden in plain sight. Money is an evil when enough of it can buy you almost anything. The sick stories I've heard about the wealthiest in the industry will have you questioning mankind.
wow.... shit the bed. she's got an amazing voice. just saw her doing the Phantom of the Opera which completely amazed me and now I'm on a Nicole Scherzinger mission 😍😍😍😍incredible talent
I have always thought Nicole was gorgeous and her pop tunes are catchy but overly sexy for no reason. To find out she has a voice like this and to see her personality on X Factor as a judge......its just mind blowing. Mad respect.
As an Argentine, this performance never fails to give me goosebumps! Nicole Scherzinger is an absolute BEAST on the stage! She perfectly captures the essence of the song: the raw emotion of a flawed human (as we all are) who had just been diagnosed with cervical cancer in juxtaposition with her immaculate propaganda image. Nicole manages to encapsulate all of this in just 4 minutes. Very few songs can masterfully capture such emotional and societal complexities, as well as the political & historic significance as this event. Andrew Lloyd-Webber is a genius, full-stop. He could create such a musical based on a piece of history which is arguably the most significant in Latin America -regardless of politics - and portray Eva Perón in the most respectful way that I've seen to this day.
@@lostgaijin8640 Lea's got one of the most beautiful voices, ever, but I found her performance of this underwhelming, as though a Disney princess were performing it. When I listen to Nicole, I hear all the emotion of the song. It's as if she's fully bringing it to life.
