Never added up hearing that Simon formed One Direction. I saw the clip of them behind the scenes forming the group before watching this. It makes so much sense that she formed a band because she Was in a band so she knew they would look good together. But Simon decides to take all the credit.
With everyone - everywhere - for YEARS - crediting Simon with being the genesis of this group; did HE ever come out and give the credit where it was due? Ever?

I thought everyone knew this, she suggested creating two groups because some of the singers were too good to go home, she's also responsible for Little Mix and Fifth Harmony as well thanks to her quick thinking because Simon later used this strategy a year later on the UK X Factor and in 2012 in the USA version
It definitely wasn’t hidden. At the time they showed the clip of her suggestion to bring these boys together. They were all on the cusp of being put through or sent home.

Ummm that aint true! The production of previous shows producef by simon shows...FACT!! proves he used to form groups like this. Only Simom controls the format. There were othe groups formed like this before. She may have selected the boys butttt anyone could have.

Ya so it's shitty Simon did that but why didn't she stand up for herself? I feel like alot of this omg a woman did this would be avoided and ppl wouldn't be so surprised if she and other women would actually stand up for themselves and speak out. Ok, but why are people treating this like she's some kind of mastermind? It's not that hard to see that a group of young, good looking guys will do well in an industry that mostly cater to women - especially when those guys are right there in front of you competing in a singing competition, lol :P
