current SDSU student here! nicole was right about the food vendors!! every thursday we have a farmers market all day with a bunch of different food vendors!! there is a wide variety of food and it's a really cool way to support local vendors :)

Something that I realised while watching this video is the way that Nicole changed her attitude with her opinion of the school. Not in a bad way but what I mean is at the start I could tell that she was still unknown where she wanted to go but towards the end she was her normal self, even more happier. I’m so happy she is going to SDSU . It suits her so well!!!

It was my first time seeing collie cry that vlog, i am busted out crying with her... as an older sister i had always looked up to her, she is like my older positive sister. your like my second family. as someone who didn't get into her dream college too, my parents did the same thing, drove me to check out campus and made sure i was comfy with my decision. 2 years later, i'm about to graduate and i kid you not, best plan God ever had for me. lowkey a blessing in disguise bc i love my university much more than my old dream one :) I’m so excited to see your journey!!!

I love how mama Nicole just wants Nicole to feel better about the campus... She truly connects with you Nicole... It's almost as though she wishes you never went through what you went through... Btw the campus looks really good... I just want to let you know that the plans of God are always perfect, we may not see it but it always is... Just trust him for everything... Let him take the wheel.. His will always, and over ours... I wish you the very best in college and I pray you success in everything you do here.

Current SDSU student here!! You can get a youth pass for the trolley next year where you can ride for free until you turn 19 and you can download an app for the trolley as well. Hope you love it at state as much as I do! (Oh and mission valley is the sketchiest stop on the trolley that I’ve seen)

Nicole is going to have an amazing time at SDSU! as someone who goes there and isn’t involved in greek life, there’s always something happening on campus . finding a solid group of friends is what’s going to make college super fun, with or without greek life!

im genuinely so happy she's going to SDSU because as someone who is going across the country for college, it has been hard accepting the fact I won't be near San Diego . Being able to see Nicole there will let me have a little part of home. Love all of youuuu

Here from Nicole's video and it brought me back to four years ago when I was opening my college decisions and found out I got rejected from UCLA, that was a hard day for me as well so I can totally relate. I moved to San Diego for college (UCSD), and it's such an amazing place to live and study at. I look back at those memories very fondly, and am honestly grateful for the rejection because I wouldn't have those memories in SD otherwise. I'm proud of Nicole for how graceful she's been in processing these past few weeks and also glad that she has such a wise family to support her through it all. College is what you make of it and I have no doubt you'll be successful regardless of which college you end up picking ❤

i stayed at SDSU for a whole week a few years ago for a church activity! it was amazing and the campus is BEAUTIFUL! recently i’ve even been thinking about possibly transferring there! congrats!

(from your decision video) You're definitely not dramatic, Nicole! This was the absolute worst point of high school for me. It sent me down a deep spiral of feeling lost and unworthy when everyone announced prestigious acceptances. Having that "college reputation/name/allure/idealization" and calling it mine was ALL I thought about. Truth be told (two years later), you can find happiness where YOU are!! Promise! You don't have to meet or compare yourself to anyone's expectations because it's YOUR life. As long as you're happy, that's all that matters. When you're happy, you succeed! There should never be any shame in figuring it out. Even though it takes some time, everything DOES figure itself out. and knowing you, you're going to succeed no matter where you are ❤ Huge congrats and best of luck! We could've been sharks together LOL (Go Beach!) but Aztecs are great too ;)

It's so funny how life works, you might find that the one place you wouldn't think it would be good to you is the same place where you find so much fulfillment. I remember thinking a certain thing is definitely going to happen and when it didn't, I was so disappointed. now that life is different than I anticipated, I am so happy, and I can't imagine life any other way. You are going to be so much happy here my love🥰

Being an older parent and now retired as an educator here in CA, I am very excited for you! I have become a bit skeptical about UC's...and my sense (if you can hear an 'elder'), is that the opportunities you will have might be broader. San Diego is amazzzzing! I'm biased! I have family there! You are such a light Nicole! I am so excited for who you will become there! I'm a Chico grad, and went back up there on spring break to relive memories of seven happy years there...got my Masters in Education/Special Education, and got a GREAT education, and lots of undivided attention, as I also was in the honors English strand back in the late 70's, yes...I'm old! I am following you, as I work in retirement, with teens in Girl Scouts, and tutor teens too...love staying young! Can't wait to see you find your world!
