Nier: Automata - Easy Allies Review 

It's 88/89 on Metacritic (not an accurate measure, but it has the most eyes on), I think it has enough popularity among general gaming crowd. I think it is going to be the Bloodborne of 2017 (an excellent game, whose popularity is massively overshadowed by that of another game, In Bloodborne's case Witcher 3, in Neir's case Zelda BOTW)

World End Maybe not 2 mil, but a better score plus PC sales could help it cross 1 mil easy. Depends on the legs it has to keep selling after Mass Effect and Persona.

Its doing really well even in JPN which is a surprise. It debuted with 200k sales (that's pretty decent for that market) its a bit more worrisome on the Western side since its release is followed by so many good games (Zelda, HZD, ME and P5) but I think it will do decent enough, not great but enough

i agree same with Yakuza 0 which as well deserves more sales as it is absolutely amazing!

Witchblade will probably fare worse given the low hype..

Thomas Patterson damn well said. I was just thinking about how this game has metal gear solid levels of narrative that provoke such profound thoughts and emotions. definitely one of my favorite games in the last ten years and I haven't even gotten to the first ending after 80 hours!

It literally does nothing new. Almost everything is copied of Drakengard games and the original Nier. Story is generic anime too, if you liked the story and universe of Drakengard 1,2 and Nier you will be dissapointed in this.

2017 was an insane year, with a masterpiece almost every other month. Horizon, Mario Odyssey, P5, Nier, Hollow Knight, Xenoblade 2, RE7, BotW, DS3: Ringed City, and more. All of these games deserve to be considered some of the best in their genres. But it's either BotW or Hollow Knight that takes Goty.

A perfect score should be a water-proof argument for many aspects of a game. If your argument for the overall quality has holes a perfect score just reflects hyperbole that dismisses faults. NieR: Automata is objectively a 11/10, tho.

I have a feeling the 5 stars won't be used for a while since Damiani's Zelda score.

I don't know about anyone else, but I feel like the shouldn't have made you play through the fist half of the game again as 9S. It just felt like a cheap way to lengthen the game. If the have it to you replay certain parts. Like the levels in the factory then that would be A-Okay

There is a fair bit of content between missions that's unique too. His character specific side missions, his interactions with his operator, first chance to open hack chests, and not to mention a whole new mechanic in hacking, subjugating, and remote controlling robots. And if you gun the main story it doesn't even take that long to get to route C. Not to mention sidequests carry over so you can do the ones you missed while sprinkling in main missions for what ends up being a very different feeling playthrough. That being said it certinally is a bit samey in sections, but at the same time I think it was designed to slow the pace of the game, lull you into a sense of "this is it?" and then BOOM opening credits play 20hr into the game. It's a bold move that should be respected, though I understand it's not for everyone.

Zachary Dixon he clearly is? Idk what you’re talking about, you can see him aiming with the right stick but used the left stick occasionally probably out of necessity.

@@callum6224 He only ever fires in the direction he's moving, to the point that he keeps running into enemies because he's trying to line a shot up. Its a twin-stick shooter, you can move and shoot in separate directions, e.g. run away from an enemy and shoot backwards at it.

He is pronouncing it incorrectly. It's the plural form of "automaton."

NieR Automata is NOT an exclusive, it is on Steam. I just finished 4 endings with my PC. Absolutely loved the game so damn much, coming from a original NieR fan.

I also had no idea and was quite surprised, but I actually found out playing the game. The review on Game Trailers ruined Uncharted 2 for me back in 2009, from that day I never watched a review of a game that I want to play before actually playing it.

Mate, 16 hours was when I finished Route A. When I did A-E, I was at 45 Hours. 65 for the Platinum. You're missing a lot.
