thanks a lot Patrik I drew a virtual tour on my maps but that's clearly above my fitness level and confidence I can do a t5 but not along a 23km and 2600D+ tour like I planned from Frutigen to Niesen all on the ridge lol "aim for the moon" as they say >< very helpful thanks for sharing in this video you show parts I know I would have turned back because I already did in similar places
I did it yesterday, It was super cool, but at some spots really exposed. The descend from Mägisserhorn to Frutigen was very tough on my knees. Thanks again for your footage. Well done.
hi there!! this ridge sure is a jewel! no, these are now trail running shoes, but hiking shoes Garmont Dragontail MNT GTX, we have both the same on this tour, we are onto Garmont shoes in overall, I got also trail running shoes Salomon Speedcross 4 GTX, but the shoe sole on the garmont is just better for this kind of terrain I think, Garmont are haevier of course, but in those my feet feels more secure.. :)
Beautiful! I have a question… i am hiking a lot and often but most of the time T4 or less. There i have no problems, would you say this tour could be a possible first T5 to try or do you have a better tip for T5 beginning? Thx and go one with this awsome videos…✌️
Hi there! thanks a lot!! the only challenge here would be the North ridge on Fromberghorn, Wysse Zend and then the whole ridge is practically only T5+ somewhere says even T6, I would say T5+ is enough, but still very exposed, countless scrambling, climbing passages.. I don't know how well you're in this difficulties.. rest of the ridge is mostly T4,T3. Or the second option would the hiking the ridge from Drunengalm, which is the first peak after Fromberghorn, but hiking from Diemtigtal to Drunegalm, the hiking path should even be marked.. then hiking th ridge as on the video.. another tips for you: Loucherhorn from Schynigge platte, nuschlete from Stockhorn, or Rothorn-Glogghuis-Hochstollen from Alpen Tower/Hasliberg. The last one named Glogghus is even very well marked, harderst parts secured with ropes, I should go for that one!!
