Noted Fashion Photographer Nigel Barker, the second longest running judge on America's Next Top Model, steps in to spill a little tea about the show, Tyra Banks, and the contestants.

I expected Nigel to be diplomatic like this. Him working on The Face with Naomi already spoke for how it is in the fashion and entertainment industries. You get the job. You lose the job. You move on... I didn’t mind him on the show at all coz he was quite knowledgeable and... he was way better than Rob.

Exactly what I thought. He considered doing this show a paycheck, the show was on he had a young family, his wife was pregnant when she appeared on it one time. Plus I don't think he knows anything about the BTS drama and the shit the producers pulled on the girls, he wasn't involved with that part of the show. He's far from innocent but he wasn't the biggest problem maker

He's really great at a answering the questions. Very diplomatic and smart. He still has to make a living and be able to work with these people if the opportunity should come up with them. It's understandable. I also believe him when he says they were not privy to the back stories of the contestants. Networks and reality shows are brutal.

Nigel is very skilled at staying ahead of the questions with a diplomatic answer that doesnt step on anyones toes. Hes the master at dishing the dirt without picking sides or offending anybody. This was a great interview but i still leave feeling alittle confuzed about how he really feels about the entire experience...

Janice Dickenson would be such a fun interview. She would give zero fucks about being honest. I always got the sense that she was very blunt but her honesty came from a good place. I used to think she was really mean, but when I rewatch she tries to help the models laugh at themselves.

Ok so real talk. On the show, Nigel sometimes came across as flirty with the young ladies - and between all these videos and the #Metoo movement, I kinda thought something would come out. And I"m thrilled that it hasn't. He was obviously super professional, really friendly and a great judge.

@** When Mollie Sue was in NYC.. she had an appointment (go-see) and instead of going to her actual location she accidently walked into his office (she was on the wrong floor of the building) therefore, a huge coincidence, she walked into Nigel Barker's office of ALL offices to walk into and she tried to entertain conversation and he wasn't interested in the slightest.

Although I love Nigel Barker, I’m not a fan of how he dodged (or indirectly answered) some of the questions and thought he was too diplomatic with some of his answers. I get it that he doesn’t have to be candid but your interviews with the contestants have been more candid for the most part.

Despite what you feel about the show, it was the drama, theatrics and cringe-worthy challenges that propelled ANTM into the cultural icon status it is today. I prefer Naomi's show ten-fold and find it actually rings true to an actual Modelling Competition, but look at how long they managed to keep it on air. People found it bland and boring. Reality shows live off of drama.

I’m a little disheartened by Nigel, based on Eugena saying he acted like he didn’t know her when they saw each other at a fashion show, and how Mollie Sue said he blew her off at a casting. But I will say, Nigel has always been a fair judge. While Twiggy was favoring all the white girls, and Tyra playing mind games with the black girls, Nigel was always fair! He gave lots of love to Nik (the real winner) and Danielle! Tyra and Twiggy always looked at ‘personality’ (Natasha, Laura C. 13) while Nigel was the voice of reason! So I appreciate him for always being fair to the black girls and showing them love.

Nigel is one of the reasons I even knew about fashion photography. As a kid, I was fascinated by the creative side of photography and taking pictures. For each episode, I would wish that I could be a part of the behind scenes action of the photos. Nigel is a legend in my book and has a dope accent.

It is common (not always) that a sign of someone is lying is touching their nose. I'm at 25.45 and Nigel touched his nose talking about "there has never been a time we have been veto" indicating he may be lying about that. Just an observation.

And to be fair, as far as the judging pannel being shaken up, Tyra herself wanted to leave the show and get a new host starting in cycle 8 or 9 and Mr. Jay wanted to be gone much sooner starting at cycle 9 I think. Tyra eventually left , then came back so no one judge was there for every last cycle.

I watched this complete interview and two things come to mind. Oliver you are an absolute angel and I applaud your show. Second as for Nigel Barker...I expected so much from him but his interview left me feeling he is...disingenuous. Now I understand why so many models interviewed by you often said "I ran into Nigel at a party and he acted liked he didn't know me..."He was standoffish"...

It seem's like they got rid of the judges because they wanted to get a younger viewing but it didn't work. The new judges were not very interesting. When they started to let the fans vote ANTM jumped the shark with that one.

I think Nigel couldn’t be entirely honest with his answers as he still works with influential people and I guess still is in the celeb circle so he wouldn’t wanna create drama to endanger his persona.

I met Nigel 3 times in the meatpacking district in NYC...he was a complete asshole towards me each time, which was super sad for me back then because I loved the show and was a fan then. I met Mr Jay and Tyra too...They were very nice and Tyra is EXACTLY how she is on TV.

Nigel was honest and very sincere about the problematic situations through out the cycles.... Tyra banks will never admit or apologize sincerely since she has a lot of guilt and remorse

I believe Tyra did apologize on one of her interviews. I forgot the name of the girl interviewed her but she said she needs to apologize multiple times for the next generation who just started to watch the show 🤷🏻
