Not surprised that Danny as a Tory supporter cannot understand how a government can fix things. Fortunately not all governments spend their time infighting and grifting. At least for a while I think a Labour government will actually want to improve the country. The suggestion that the manifesto is irrelevant is very concerning, and the very reason people have disengaged. When a party comes into power and they throw the manifesto away, they are destroying the foundations of democracy.

Apologies to Polly's husband but I am the program's biggest Canadian fan. For starters, I am 6'4. I enjoy listening to her policy explanations. The two political Lords sitting next to her are simply speaking of elections past that I remember. I could explain in depth why Canada 1993 has some parallels to the current election but is not an exact match. I am a hockey fan and international cricket fan. Every Canadian traveling to Toronto needs a Canadian passport as we just move on. Mr. Farage's Reform is not Canada's Reform. Enjoying all the discussions on the show.

It's amazing how little pushback there has been about Farage's comment on the future of the NHS. In the Friday debate, most of the other candidates wanted to ignore his comments. I would imagine that most of those people who are planning to vote for Reform are rather fond of the NHS, for all its faults, and don't share Farage's vision for its future

Nigel Farage is a formidable speaker whose words and sentiments resonate with the public. Mr Farage also helped secure Boris Johnson's election by stepping aside despite some criticism from his own followers. Even if Mr Farage just makes it to Parliament as a sitting MP he will shake up the house with MPs calling up and down the corridors of power "Nigels speaking and he's got Starmer on the ropes"

Guys. People tuning into this get it. Peter - everyone here knows that the Tories are no longer fighting Labour, the manifesto is irrelevant, Labour have won. The fight is for second. And for everyone - what now matters is who we are going to have holding Labour’s feet to the fire. Who gets those six questions. Who gets those 17 opposition days for things like electoral reform or other. Imagine how Starmer would squirm with a PR vote. Unions, Labour membership, Labour MPs, the opposition spectrum of politics from left to right , most voters - would he be forced to give an open vote? There is more than one sort of ‘winning an election’ at this point second is a win for the Tories and the Lib Dems. Who has won is done; the other manifestos are relevant for the flavour of opposition - project fear or something better. If Labour don’t want these questions they need to attack where these questions are likely to come from and attack the other parties. It’s basic strategy. Personally, I want PR very much.
