Private housing that is leased by councils, paid for by the public, should publish the names of those landlords, or those companies leasing those properties to the councils. The public need to know who, what and why these properties are being paid for by the tax payer.

The rental market is about to collapse becsuse of these idiots. We have given notice to every tenant and there are now 30 people to every rental here.

So if you default on your rent, Angela Rayner is now going to make if harder for landlords to evict those tenants. Right then, if I default on my mortgage will Angela Rayner offer the same protection to us. If we default, we can be left out in the cold. Why are tenant who rent afforded special protection if they default?

Lots of people can't get a mortgage for various reasons, where do they go if landlords are chased away! All it does is make life harder for them with more competition for the rental properties that are still available pushing rents up even higher, and rightly so, because the remaining landlords are taking on more risk with the tenants. Not all landlords are raking it in, if they were, there would be lots more of them.

I don’t think you should be able to be kicked out after 12 months living in a rented property. Most rental properties have a 12 month initial lease, if the landlord chose they can kick you out currently. I think there should be longer minimum terms so people can put down roots. In the Germany you have a 20 year leases. I think Landlords should be registered and regulated.

I don’t know why they keep making such a thing about mould unless it is caused by damp or a leak it is probably caused by the tenant. When I was working in Europe and staying in rented properties, it is stipulated that you must leave windows ajar for a couple of hours per day to air the place, therefore not allowing the air that we breath out to create moisture and then mould. As for the Lib Dem lady wanting the airbnb people to lose money, if they are making loads of money, as she suggests, they are not as affected by all these targeted attacks, the people that are losing money are the buy to let landlords who do not make a lot of money. The actual rules being applied are tantamount to extortion by the government, as this is the ONLY business where you are taxed on your turnover and then can only claim a maximum of 20% of your costs, NO OTHER BUSINESS WOULD SURVIVE!!

Peoprty doesn't evaporate when sold, it is either bought by someone to use as a home or bought by another landlord. On this point reform are wrong. The actual solution is to build a lot more properties.

Let’s just address the elephant in the room. A black woman should never be the leader of any political party in the Uk. For her to get this far in a conservative race shows how far this country has fallen.

Property should not be looked on as investments they are homes. Tax payers are often paying the rent on these private rentals if the tenents are on benefits many who cant afford their own homes

Affordable social housing is the worse thing for housing. Build cheaper property owned by who. After the tax breaks from building this housing all you have to do is wait 5 years and you can then sell it at market value. After 5 years as long as the market hasn't crashed, the then owner of the housing has had tax breaks and now makes a profit. Affordable housing sounds great as its got a lovely sounding title, yet its just another construction trade incentive.

So as uk has built more houses. Or had war to flatten houses how can there be few houses ? Nigel ? As landlord dump property back on the market the renter can buy them cheaper. As housing will fall in value as demand for rent property will decrease Nigel because most people will own there house by buying cheap of the landlord !
