As you are probably aware this is over the issue of the Manchester suspects still out on bail and absolutely no further action of any kind has been forthcoming. I think its high time the law got a grip in this country and acted according to the severity of the offences committed.

I had involvement with CPS that lasted 4 years. It was plain to everyone it was a waste of time. I got my case to the Old Bailey which was thrown out. How much £ ?

It is sad that the police unions are not taking this case, to protect their members. Is that not what unions are for? Feels a bit like the government and police are at odds with each other. This may explain why so many police feel that they cannot continue.

There is a paradox here. If the Police and CPS are impartial and they can fast track certain people to court (I will not comment on the clearly political judicial process) why can they not also clear the Manchester two for equally fast track date in court! To be clear the time the CPS are taking in this case is not unusual. The Southport ones was! There is also the fairly obviously bad treatment of the police officers assaulted in Manchester. I understand tha releasing of video can be prejudicial to a case but a partial video had been released already giving what seems to be a totally biased view. The Police management could and should have done more to protect both the members involved and its own overall reputation. Sadly they seem to have not had eather the ability or the presence of mind to do so. It is so bad that someone could reasonably think there was another agenda involved. One that classed different ethnic groups as more important of special treatment than others. I really hope this does not happen but I feel the tensions exerted on our society may express themselves in a way the government really does not want to happen! I feel sure there are some who will feel there are not enough places in prison and that if they can go down for some hurty words they may as well go down for actually doing something serious! I hope they do not, but feel it is a very real chance it will happen!
