They were the best couple and they had the public vote so they would have won. But deep down Craig and Shirley didn’t take to Nigel but more so they still hold what Katya done to Neil against her

the varied choreography is partly down to the parts where they were not actually dancing tango steps, tho. the pros have to tread the line between keeping the audience engaged while actually using the recognisable steps. Strictly dances are always a bit more more showdance/theatre than you would see in an actual competition, but you still want to be able to recognise it as the dance it's supposed to be (by having the steps and frame. Otherwise you're not really doing a tango or whatever, it becomes something else) It's a clever balance to strike in the choreo!

Yes, I thought it was quite a bit of faff, rather than tango 'drama', and katjas hair was a mess for me.

it was brilliantly acted and danced, but I see what the judges meant with the stop-start - it made it feel like not quite a tango to me? If you're dancing one of the 10 dances, it should mostly be recognisably that dance - especially since now they've introduced Couple's Choice there is other opportunity to do whatever you want (i.e. faff about, no rules). If you're calling a dance a "tango" it should feel like a tango. I want to see that as well the showdance/jazz/contemporary/theatre stuff I do not meant to go in on them, this happens with various routines sometimes, and I get that it's harder and that they want to be entertaining also. And produce interesting choreography. And they were doing tango steps. But. I know what you mean about the faffing
