What I found very interesting in Nigella’s cooking is ... She doesn’t behave like a celebrity chef . She behave like us ...little bit messy but perfect .

I am not a fan of most of the food she cooks as it does not meet my taste palette. Nonetheless, I have watched most of her videos not because of the food, but because of her aura and knowledge. Her show feels like a philosophy class in food than cooking itself. I can almost taste the food she cooks just from watching it.

Probably unknowingly, Nigella made the perfect fish yakhni pulao (a variety of savory Indian rice dishes) rather than Khichri. If you omit the lentil from khichri, then it's not a khichri.

This is great! I have a question. Could you not use coconut oil instead of regular vegetable oil to stop the butter from burning (and for all the other purposes of vegetable oil)? That would be a much healthier option, but would it work to stop the butter from burning, etc.? I know coconut oil can take more heat than olive oil and honey (which really become toxic when cooked).

if altering the taste is not a concern then yes it can replace vegetable oil. coconut oil has a high smoke point

A nice Dessert: Slice plump chilled Strawberries. Put back in the fridge to chill. In a sauce pan, add a heaping tablespoon of butter. To that, add a heaping tablespoon of rich, dark brown sugar and two ounce of Kahlua. let the emulation of butter sugar and Kahlua caramelize. Place your thick slices of strawberries on your plate, pour over the caramelized sauce. Next, dab on a tablespoon of (Sour) Cream, not whipped cream. Then drizzle with chocolate sauce. To end it off, crackle over black pepper over everything, the sweet, sour and pepper is a taste explosion in your mouth.
