@anthonymark5758 you made your own premise and followed it up with your own conclusion as well. While actually believing you are right. That's what I was talking about.
Hear history from historians and intellectuals, not people at beer palour or newspaper stands. There are many Yoruba historians and soldiers who spoke the truth about what transpired.
Chief Akogun Tola Adeniyi, I am glad to hear your voice of wisdom again. I used to read your column in the Nigerian Tribune. You are still your eloquent and articulate self. Even age has not had much impact on you. Well done.
Thank God for the last enthusiastic statement. “Their days are numbered”. Their days are numbered indeed. The fear of the fulanies in Nigeria has been a dip chronic cancer on the skin of Nigeria for centuries. And, is long overdue to be dismantled. JMO
Not hatered, but justification of the injustice he knows he lead. He was being used, and he had no choice but to adhere because his life was on the line.
@@richardobiekwe9437 Yes 🖐️🖐️. During the war. But his utterances after the war and body language indicated his hatred for the Igbo people. Remember this, Karma is real 😂. Look at his region being overran by terrorists and their lands taken over. You reap what you sow 🐖.
Even today Gowon still thinks he is their servant. He has never spoken about the killings in the Middle Belt especially his own Plateau State by these Hausa Fulani Muslims. Even once. They just use him even in his old age!
I think these broadcasts are thoroughly cerebral, truthful and balanced. You guys should not be perturbed by commenters among whom you will find the good, the bad and the ugly.
If the igbos had supported Awo prior independence for confederation neither Tafabalewa to Gowon could never have become leaders in nigeria or anywhere.
Oh yeah? How about before the civil war? Where was his voice for the ABURI accord? Which was a real Confendration? So all of a sudden he became anti Confederation when Ojukwu asked for it? Typical anti-Igbo twisted brain of a regular Nigerian.
Because of Awolowo to be released and bad governance are the reason of coup in nigeria to Make Awolowo president because Britain and fulani are control the economy and governments in nigeria and awo was jailed because of Akintola was used against his people that why Awolowo is a betrayal and he committed suicide
@@omodiagbedominicedeoghon4607 He won't answer that, because it is all lies and hypocrisy for a British Proxy Fulani dormination agenda. The Aburi accord was for Confederation, but when the British and Fulani alliance whispered into Gowon ears, all of a sudden they backed out an accord which was an African solution by Africans, in Aburi Ghana.
The Days of lunacy is over, And the Remedial judgement is here, the country history is in GOD'S hand waiting to judge the wicked leaders and the Evil men and women of this land, no prayers can change the mind of GOD, no power can change the mind of GOD, judgement is REAL.
Who cares. He's trying to exonerate Yakubu Gowon from his atrocities against the Igbos. What does he have to say about Gowon's appearance in a Church to say that he should have given the Igbos money 💰 rather than go to war. Gowon is an Igbo hater.
Gowon"s apologies to Ndigboo was medicine after death. Where are his village habitants today? Fulani have killed most of them and displaced the remainings. Forget all his show offs, gowon is not a happy man however, he will pay for his sins someday
Mr l don’t know you but you are talking rubbish because l was there with chief Obafemi Awolowo, Azikwe, Oparah and Henoro and Ojukwu when they told him not to go to war yet because All the ammunition was in the North and Awolowo told him to be patient but Ojukwu refused and the next morning he announced Biafra and the war started and Azikuwe then left to London and the rest of igbos leaders. During that war they were coming to attacked Lagos and they finds out that they were at the ORE and that was where most of them lost their lives and then back to their lands where a lot of them were killed and the people like Azikuwe was the one called Awolowo that more than 250 people were killed every day and the Hausas were determined to wipe them out and Awolowo then came to their rescued as ministers of finance and the Money’s was changed overnight and they cannot buys weapons from their supporters USA and others and Ojukwu ran to London. And more how he sold the igbos out up till now.
Stop twisting the history sir! You are just lying! what is the Aburi accord&who broke it?They told Ojukwu to be patient while the killing of Igbo military officers and civilians are going on in a speed! You think Ojukwu is dumb and dummy,he found out that the advice which your Awo, is part of the tactics to achieve their objectives which is to wipe the Igbos away from the map! Awo! were in bed with the Fulani till date! That's why the Fulani will boldly say we & the Yorubas are like husband and wife!😂 Now they are united in government the bigotry against the Igbos continue! Now we are witnessing the biggest demolition of Igbos properties all around the nation. But unfortunately to you!Biafra is here already! As you reject us we will never reject ourselves! We are going home!
Rubbish! Imagine a Yoruba man accusing Gowon of being afraid of the Fulanis while Yorubas are accomplice. Stop trying to provoke or remind the Igbos how they were killed, U yorubas that helped Hausa/Fulani to kill Igbos then isn't better today, u pple haven't achieved anything.
The Yorubas supported the hausa fulanis just lol. What was the origin of the war, were the Eastern leaders ready to form political synergy with awolowo and akintola prior independence even when awolowo wanted to become finance minister and zik should be the prime minister. He zik still preferred to work with North and became a ceremonial head preferring to work with the North... when the easterners orchestrated a regional coup, how many Eastern politicians were killed when they murdered akintola, fajuyi, tafawa belawa, ahmadu bello? You guys play tribal cards with everything and blame others for your failures, even during the war easterners still attack the west when they actually said they are fighting North, so if you are among the western leaders of that time you will watch your territory been invaded by armies from another region. You guys should learn to digest historical facts before attacking your biggest beneficiaries, even after the war it was only here in Yoruba they returned all ibo properties to them including rents collected when they were away but bitter politics will always make you people shy away from the truth.
It seems you are letting emotions influence your statement. The first alliance was formed between the East and the North. At independence, the only ethnic group without federal power was the Western Region. There was a political alignment between Nnamdi Azikiwe, Ahmadu Bello, and Tafawa Balewa. Obafemi Awolowo was very clear about his stance. The main power struggle was between the North and the East. Claiming that the Yorubas helped kill the Igbos is entirely false. Have you considered why the people of the Mid-West (Benin, Delta, etc.) didn't want to be part of Biafra even in the 1960s? Please be objective rather than emotional.
