Nigeria is quickly transforming into an African superpower. Throughout the past two decades, Nigeria’s economy and population have increased dramatically. This growth will continue into the future, propelling Nigeria onto the world stage. By 2050, it will be the third largest country by population and will have one of the world’s largest economies. As Nigeria’s population and economy grow, its military will strengthen and its foreign influence will expand. Nigeria’s film industry, Nollywood, along with its music and fashion industries will make Nigerian culture commonplace throughout the world. In review, Nigeria is quickly transforming into the world’s first African superpower.

I am Greek, and have nothing but utmost respect for Nigeria. During the height of the Greek economic crisis, Nigeria supplied much needed oil to Greece under very generous credit rules, and also supplied $130 million dollars for infrastructural repair costs. THIS WAS THE FIRST AND ONLY TIME THAT A EUROPEAN COUNTRY RECEIVED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM AN AFRICAN COUNTRY, AS WELL AS THE ONLY CASE IN WHICH A EUROPEAN COUNTRY IS IN DEBT TO AN AFRICAN COUNTRY. MUCH LOVE, ADMIRATION AND GRATEFULNESS FOR NIGERIA FROM GREECE!

Damn they’re aiding foreign first world countries while the literal northern half of the country’s population lives in extreme poverty and the southern half isn’t significantly poor but isn’t doing great either. This is why Nigeria is poor, the government cares about their image and global relations more than its own people.

Nigeria cannot succeed. It is a cursed nation. A country without stable power for more than 60yrs? Corruption, poor justice system? Bro. My country is cursed. I've made up my mind to leave. On paper, Nigeria has potential but in reality, Nigeria is a fooking waste of space.

Potential when a group of people only want to subdue the rest and rule over them. A group of people that proudly admit cows lives are more important than human. That only want to Islamise the country. Can 2 walk if they don’t agree? Pls tell me.
@greenearth9945
@greenearth9945 3 года назад
@@pennymax1275 all of that can change but the people needs to reform. China is an example of how an extremely poor country in a matter of few decades turned everything around to become the second largest economy today. Of course sacrfices have to be done but its not impossible and Nigeria could become the next China. Huge population which is increasing rapidly is gonna create a huge market in the future for companies. Nigerians are intelligent people and its a waste that the nations brainpower is leaving the country. To be honest I believe in you guys more than I believe in my fellow Moroccans.
@greenearth9945
@greenearth9945 3 года назад
@@PepTalkTillYouDrop Nigeria can change brother but its gonna take time and hard work no doubt. Did you know that China was way more in poverty than Nigeria is today? Chinas GDP pr capita in 1980 was around 650$ (adjusted for inflation). Nigerias is four times that (2200$). China have achieved massive growth since then and in a matter for few decades took the second spot in terms of economic power and first place in production output. Nigeria can do that too. Companies are leaving China due to their strange policies today and Nigeria could be the next China in Africa. I believe a bright future will come your way.

Unneeded Nigeria has been gradually building all her wealth, infrastructure for awhile now. Even more like mega projects are being built like Eko(African Dubai), Centenary City, Imperial international Business City, Ayimba Economic City, Orange Island, and Greater Port Harcourt City. Other projects such as homes, buildings, hospitals, roads, dams, powerplants, and rails are being completed every year. Nigeria will be in the top 10 largest economies come 2050-60. Nigeria has one of the fastest growing middle classes in the developing world. GOD BLESS NIGERIA home to the richest and most influential Black Man Aliko Dagote, and the most Independent, Wealthy, Progressive, Industrious, and cultured Black People in the world. Nigeria's Rich are 99% Black unlike the other African countries who's wealthy are primarily White Colonist and Asian immigrants. All Nigerian businesses are native owned and expansive all over Africa.

Many people have adduced Nigeria's problem to corruption, bad leadership, tribalism etc. While I agree that these are real issued bedeviling the country, I see them more as symptoms (or manifestation) of the underlying problem rather than the problems themselves. The root cause (emphasis on root cause) of why Nigeria may not realise her potential is ethnicity. Ethnic diversity is not a strength in Nigeria but a weakness. Our different ethnic groups have disparate ideologies which is at the base of what each considers right and wrong. Each tribe's right or wrong end up conflicting with the others' right and wrong and consequently resulting in disparate interests that cannot be reconciled (i.e. common grounds cannot be found). Unfortunately, Nigerians haven't matured to a stage where we can sit down and understand our differences and fashion out win-win arrangements on our interest that are fairly equitable and sustainable. Personally, I don't think Nigeria will realize their potential unless the country breaks into different countries or there is a rigorous restructuring that allows major ethnic groups or regions exercise considerable autonomy. We will all keep getting in each other's way while our best brains will continue emigrating to develop other countries while we continue touting our "potential" greatness.
