SA mercenaries were in Nigeria to help boko haram, we pushed them back so far then USA stepped in and said they would help Nigea out but the mercenaries must leave, Boko Haram regained their positions and gained in strength. USA should have let us just help each other and deal with the issue rather than causing more issues

But you should remember the PMCs from SA and Eastern Europe were contracted without the support of the SA government, that actually threatened to arrest and prosecute it's citizens when they return. The Nigerian military was/is weakened in the antiterrorism war because of ethnic and religious biases by those in sympathy with the terrorists.

Our military is way more developed though. Only african country able to develop it's own attack helicopters, armed vehicles and suffistigated weaponary. Technologicaly it's not even close SA is hands down the best between the two.

Nigeria might have the number's but they don't have quality, South Africa makes their own military equipment they don't have to worry about being rejected by other countries if they want to buy something from them South africa can just make it themselves without any problems, Nigeria has a bunch of old T72s and old centurion tanks from the cold War they probably don't even work anymore, Nigeria just ordered 6 brand new Chinese tanks because that's all they can afford, us South Africans have the edge in artillery we have the GV6 Rhino Self propelled howitzer which has more range than Egyptian and Algerian artillery, we also have the Patria AMV made by South Africa and Finland which are considered to be the best APCs in the world, Nigeria doesn't stand a chance in air power because we have the Swedish Gripen Multi role fighter jets which are even better than the American F-16 Fighting Falcon Nigeria only has old outdated MIGs, not to mention we are also the first african country to ever have nukes some believe that the nuclear blueprints are hidden in a secret military base in the Northern Cape (the Area 51 of South Africa) even the Americans tried breaking into it but failed, I don't want to mention naval power because Nigerias navy is basically just made out of patrol boats which are only good against Somali pirates
