If I speak to 20 Black Americans half will say "They like Africans" and half will say "they don't care about Africans" and will say we sold them. But the response is much better when they find out I am Black South African then more will say "oh okay atleast you never sold us and called us names" so they become more open. So yes I have seen the pain you are talking about and thanks to technology we can communicate on many platforms these days video , chat even audio so we learn more about each other.
