In a shocking revelation, the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) has uncovered that Nigerian lawmakers, who publicly pledged to donate 50% of their salaries to fight hunger, are actually earning far more than they disclosed. The Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMFAC) reports that their salaries exceed N794,000 monthly, with some lawmakers earning as much as N936,979.53. Despite these figures, lawmakers receive numerous allowances and benefits, including up to N5.9 million in monthly perks. Our discussion with experts Sam Amadi and Wole Oladapo delves into the implications of these findings, the legitimacy of the House's pledge, and the broader impact of these discrepancies on public trust and transparency. Join us as we scrutinize how these revelations affect the lawmakers' commitment to addressing poverty and hunger. Watch now to get the full story.

All this dishonest issues should be reviewed immediately and that's why the average politicians see political office as a do or die affairs. I think the NA should be on part time basis and they should go back to their profession if they have any to fall back to.The senate should be scrapped completely because it's operating below standard and not really necessary.
