Why will you teach pidgin in school to Nigerians? Wtf? Nobody ever teaches another Nigerian pidgin it just happens. If you want to teach foreigners no problem but please do not add unnecessary load to students that do not even get enough credit for the much work they do. Especially since Nigerian certificates are not respected anywhere. Even Germany asks Nigerians for prove of English language test to study in Germany when English is our official language and is taught in school compulsorily for more than 12years (6years primary, 6 years secondary, first year of university and in preparation school and kindergarten)

Sophisticated languages can develop from creole languages (Nigerian Pidgin is an English-based creole language). In fact, it's likely that modern English developed from a form of pidgin English that arose around the time of the Norman Conquest. English developed from Old English into Middle English (a creole language), which then developed into the Modern English that we know today. There's no reason to look down on pidgin or creole languages, or think that they are somehow 'improper'.
