Sad farewell to the last of Ferrybridge C Power Station when 3 cooling towers are demolished at 19.45hrs GMT. Captured by Sky Captain Aerial and Media Specialists.
This really makes you feel old, did my scaffolding improvership on these fifty odd years ago, I have photographs from the top and from the catheads with the Holst scaffolding crew.
Irritates me the wholesale destruction of power stations around the world! Wind and solar are inverter based and cannot provide base load and stabilise a complex grid needing large amount of system inertia and reactive power or VARs.
Thank you very much for the upload this is the best footage so far it would have been better done at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning instead of at night time.
Cut up the turbines up at ferry bridge and the the motors and rotors and some of the hp heaters took some good pictures of the turbine hall before it got touched
@@skycaptainaerialimaging5980 I know I was in but never heard it or felt anything. Lots of people were posting on Facebook about House moving and hearing a big boom. Like I say nothing here
