Proper rod and reel setup, leader attachment and technique for fishing BLUEFIN tuna in the dark. Jig leaders from our ONLINE STORE: chasing-pelagics.myshopify.co... Music: "Sunset and Beachz" by Ofshane
Really like your content. Very good advice for beginners. I mark my line starting at 100ft in 50ft increments. The bigger 80-120Gram Colt snipers are deadly during the daytime.
I like using the San Diego Jam Knot for these connections. You can see how to tie that knot in our other video. Keep the swivel connection on the rod side of the leader. Keep the slit ring at the bottom so you can change our jigs quickly.
I usually fish on my boat or a friends and last week I went out on the liberty and it just Hit me all of sudden “ White line is meant to be seen” I had black braid and had no idea where my sardine was swimming, the deckhand said White is by far the best to prevent tangles when 35 people have sardines swimming in circles
I just purchased some jig leaders from you. I was a bit surprised at the shipping, it's more than the cost of the leaders themselves. It seems pretty steep considering it will take 5-8 days and it's just coming to Southern California.
Everything is shipped priority mail, you will see it in 1-2 business days typically. I need to adjust the rates for the smaller size stuff. I’ll credit you when I fill ur order tomorrow.
@@ChasingPelagics Thanks - you are the man! I'll be sure to tell my fishing club where I got the leaders when they notice I use them to catch more fish in September.
Dont quote me on the exact number, but on the 30 was just over 300 yards, I want to say the 40 and the 60 was 350 yards. As for the rods... Im a fan of the Phenix Axis series. On the 30 and 40 HAX780 X2H, for the 60 HAX720 X3H
Heading out on Friday for a two day. I have a penn 16visx topped off with 80lb spectra. I’m wondering if it’s worth going up to #100. Rod is 60-130 phenix 3h and will be using knife jigs.
On the 30 HAX 820XH (this thing is a good jig stick too). On the 40 and 60 HAX 780X2H. I’d like a 3X for the 60 but they are pretty much sold out everywhere right now.
I just re organized my combos. I put a tranx 401 on my HAX H820. Do you recommend this? Or should I put that reel on a lighter rod (I do have a spare fath25NLH) I wanted to use it as a surface iron rig for under #40 YT/Dodos. I cast much further and with less birds nests using the tranx, but line capacity is a concern. My HAX XH has a 30 fathom lh. And my HAX 2xh has an avet HXW raptor lh.
UV FLASHLIGHT LIGHT? You do NOT need a UV light source to “glow up “ your jig. Cheapo LED works. They both work great. Only diff is the UV light doesn’t break the darkness. You can see it glow in your hand. The LED lights up everything (as we all know), but as soon as you turn it off you will see the the jig is now glowing. Tested on a Nomad Buffalo with Glow stripes. 🔦
