The handling of DRL® night lenses is specific and different from that of other contact lenses.

This video explains step-by-step the process of handling DRL® night lenses during fitting.
DRL® (orthokeratology) night lenses are special lenses that slow down the development of infantile myopia, but also correct hyperopia and astigmatism, so you can see clearly during the day without the need for glasses or contact lenses.
Remodelling takes place progressively throughout the night (a minimum of 6 hours' sleep is recommended for the treatment to be effective). As this technique is reversible, you need to wear your DRL® night lenses every night to maintain the same quality of vision every day. Indeed, when you stop wearing DRL® night lenses, the cornea returns to its original shape, and after a few days the visual defect reappears.
1- PACKAGING:
- DRL® night lenses are packaged in a mailer containing a decontaminating solution. The mailer is equipped with a tamper-evident system which ensures that the lenses cannot be tampered with until they are opened for the first time. If the packaging is damaged, the lens must not be used.
2- RENEWAL:
- To ensure the safety and efficacy of your treatment, it is essential to renew your DRL® night lenses every year to avoid any deterioration in their material or geometry.
3- CARE INSTRUCTIONS :
- Once a week, lenses should be deproteinized with ProCare® deproteinization tablets. The recommended care systems (AQUADROP+ preservative-free comfort drops or artificial tears for insertion and removal - OXYClean oxidizing solution for decontamination - ProCare deproteinization tablets) are the only ones suitable for DRL® night lenses. The use of other systems can be a source of complications.
- The case in which you store your DRL® night lenses must also be impeccably clean: it must be regularly cleaned according to the instructions on the products used for lens care, and changed with each new bottle.
