The skinny bald zombie was actually a cab driver who was hired to transport extras to and from the set during filming. Tom savini took notice of him and asked him if he wanted to play a zombie in the movie.

I'm not sure of the original, but it seems like in this remake the zombies are drawn to noise. When it was just Ben and Barbara being cool, everything was fine. But then Mr Cooper and the people from the basement showed up. All of the arguing, screaming and hammering drew the zombies in.

I disagree. The original is better, in my opinion. Although, I must admit, this remake was also very well done and is easily the best remake within Romero's Living Dead series. For me, the original is better due to the grounded nature of the film, the great dialogue and very believable characters. I just rewatched the original the other day, and I honestly was in awe with how that film is actually very relatable and definitely far ahead of its time. In my opinion, it's also Romero's best film within the series.

no, actually this didn't inspire The Walking Dead at all, the walking Dead is a comic turned into a tv soap opera, this- well, the classic George Romero version and this awesome remake, were inspiration for Resident Evil- not those lame-ass action movies with Milla Jovovich, but the real thing, the video games, matter of fact: all 3 Romero classics are inspiration for the 3 original Resident Evil games.

Illustrates the risk and dangers even between survivors in trying to defend themselves or escape in high stress or disaster situations. Not everybody will act or respond to the mental pressure, fear, and stress that zombies can induce the same way. It can bring conflict and descent between survivors, which this movie and the original both highlight. Some will think for themselves in survival despite pleas or calls to help, some just freeze up or panic from it, and some try to be brave and help others.

I agree, but the Origin of what caused the dead to get up and attack the living is never established in "Night/Dawn/Day of the Dead." In "Resident Evil" it's established at the start of it all it's a Bioengineered Virus that Infects and raises the dead, turning them into zombie factories and walking killing machines which can only be put down with a bullet in the head. In Romero's world, it could be a new strain of the common Cold which causes this for all we know. Plus, RE creates monsters which are NEVER human with the Virus. Very different take to Romero's work.

From a tactical point of view it was not wrong to use the Basement. But that would be in the USMC what we call a supplementary defensive position...you use that as your last defensive line if your primary one fails. The primary defensive position should have been everyone out in the main floor and then overwatch on the second floor to keep watch out. If the main line falls everyone is supposed to fall back into the supplementary position (basement) at the same time.

RoTLD 3 have great creepy moments, the cast is so good, the story is tragic and very dark, and the zombies are nightmare fuel. Honestly, RoTLD 3 alongside with RoTLD 1, this NoTLD remake, Zombi 2 (1979, Lucio Fulci) and Train to Busan, are my favorite zombie movies.

THANK YOU make me happy when aweome people like you knows exactly what i am talking about and relate to it yes i ADORE TO DEATH ROTLD3 Easily my dearest Zombie apocalypse movie of my entire lifetime ADORE JULIE so much i will alway have not just a massive crush on her but she will also always live in a very special and warm place in my heart same way that Claire Redfield will always have that special place of honor from me you totally right when you mention the connection from ROTLD3 to RE2 i always said that capcom got inspired by ROTLD3 there is something that has that same exact vibe and style to it RE2 may not be as Romantic Goth as ROTLD3 (Despite Resident evil games having that Gothic atmosphere and music) but there is something about Leon and Claire that truly makes me think of Kurt&julie .. it just feels as in essence they where the same characters trapped in the same exact hell of situation plus both towns looks exactly about the same Raccoon City feels so much like that part of L.A where the movie was filmed gods i adore this movie so much as much i adore my Resident evil

In the 68' version Barbara is left Catatonic after she gets to the house and encounters Ben, she doesn't do anything else but die when her zombie brother shows up. In this? Ben and she are what holds the group together, until Cooper finally tells them all to go to Hell and starts behaving like the coward he obviously is. Barbara even says it here: "Whatever I lost, I lost it years ago. I'm NOT loosing anything else"-right after she blasts several holes in a zombie to prove the dead are up and walking around, then blows its brains out to show she's definately not lost it here.

Well, yes. Yes, he is, young lady. He has passed on. This person is no more. He has ceased to be. He's expired and gone to meet his maker. He's a stiff. Bereft of life, he rests in peace! If you didn't shoot him, he'd be pushing up daisies! His metabolic processes are now history! He's off the twig! He's kicked the bucket! He's shuffled off the mortal coil! Run down the curtain and joined the friggin' choir invisible! THIS... IS AN EX... PERSON!!!!

I remember this movie and it was my first zombie movie when i was a kid and i remembered the credit scene of this where they show some old pics like 80's kinda type pics showing some zombies gettin killed, hunt and burned. After seeing that and i thought to my self "yo, what if zombies where real back in days?" 😂

When I was a kid, I always thought, that one liked to dance and have a good time. As dumb as it sounds, the ending made me think that even more because Ben was trying to talk to Barbara at the end.

I would’ve done with Barbara said and just left the house all together. They had time before the area was crowded zombies earlier in the movie. It was all that hammering that attracted the rest of the zombies. She was also right when she said the house wasn’t safe upstairs or in the cellar. The zombies aren’t the running kind they move slow af too lol.
