Ok... I can accept the boarding up within nano seconds... I can even accept the man destroying all the planks with one knife swing... But how the heck does she put the glass back up??? Does she tape it back together? Kidding aside, Chris can make ANY game an amazing experience and I can never have enough of his comments, such as: "I am responsible for most of the Amazon's deforestation"! 😂

The 616 game before this one had an "assassin" (their appellation of serial killer) trying to break into your house as well...where do these people live that "assassination" by home invasion is so common?

one thing I have noticed is that in EVERY Horror game it looks like the protagonist has a crappy apartment,or is that just me. not complaining, most places are better than mine lol

you know the thought of someone trying to get "Revenge" on me for being imprisoned, after they tried to fucking kill me, rubs me the wrong way.

616 games always seems to just miss the mark. their games have interesting premises (barring midnight tales vol 2) but the gameplay is always lacking. hopefully they get better because their games have potential to be good!

Screws would be far more effective at keeping those boards in place than nails. Of course, having metal bars installed would have been a better option altogether. Or a panic room, if you were that certain he'd come back to end you.

wow there was so much potential. With the game lulling and conditioning you into a steady flow, to introduce creepiness. Like the smashing sound, but with no window broken, would have been a creepy but simple addition! Or just a twist where the guy isn't crawling in through the windows he smashes cus he's just trying to let in the airflow, to save you from monoxide poisoning. Literally anything

I completely agree with your description of this game. I was even thinking of a similar one before you said it. A really good premise, but flawed execution. I agree with your ending summary as well. This game could have been much more than it was.

Obligatory pun: fifteen minutes of putting planks on windows left me board. More seriously, I think your commentary was right on. The interest in the game went up a great deal once the killer got in, because the gameplay changed and there was a real threat. For that matter, just changing the game flow so that you have to fire first to drive him off, and then board up before he gets in again, would have changed it up. They had a telephone, there could be a different ending depending on whether you answered the phone to get help (but potentially let the killer in) or you focused on staying safe. Or, considering that you only use the gun at the end, requiring the use of improvised weapons to drive him off would have fit Chekhov's Lamp from the beginning and made you feel a lot less safe than having a pistol at your hip. Basically, there are a dozen ways this game could have been better, as you and we in the comments bring up, and 616... didn't have any? Definitely a disappointment from them, but a delight as always to see your content.

I definitely agree and think it could've been more challenging and a little repetitive but the plot is definitely a creepy, suspenseful idea that makes for a good horror game.

Wow, what a boring game - thank you for your commentary though, Chris! I don't know why 616 games don't seem to listen to the feedback of players and viewers. They obviously have the potential to make some great games, but instead recently they seem to be copying much-better-done games just to have more titles cranked out in a short time. It's really a big shame. I can think of a whole slew of indie games that came before and did this entire premise in such an exciting way. I hope they'll start taking people's feedback and maybe spend a bit more time making a high-quality game. They've done at least once before, I'm sure they can do it again!

Oh, boy. Here we go again...

It's revenge but at night...

This could have been a lot more fun if there were a few characters you use as, "lives." You start the game without the place locked down and discover a slasher like Jason or Michael Myers and you have to lock down the house and then police the house. The killer does loud things to enter but also sneaky things to get in without you noticing. You could have more than just the whole house perimeter but instead have each room as its own thing so if he gets in but hasn't fully invaded to the center of the house yet you could slam a door shut and try to hold it while you switch to another character to barricade it. You'd have a resource management for the characters because manpower is vital but you'd also only be one person trying to handle all the commotion as one. For example you could start nailing a window shut as one character and it takes a while so you swap to another character while they do that to board up another. By way of a tutorial you could have your day of fun before hand to teach you the strengths and weaknesses of each character through games and sports while also teaching you how to manage the lot and then you have the party scene, because every slashers has the big get together before it all goes down, and then you're in for it. You wouldn't even have to have the same group every time, just an RNG mish-mash of skills and vices. Vices could be exploited by not managing a character for too long and they get to their vice component, like the bottle of tequila making them buzzed, intoxicated, and finally worthless. If your smoking character got to their cigarettes before you stop them they're out of commission until they've had their smoke, etc... Do that and implement a lot of fun death scenes based on environment and the slasher chosen for the scenario and you'd have a fun game.

This is definitely the weakest of 616's games, but you still made it entertaining. Kudos to you!

Weird sort of inverse bell curve with this one. The general premise is interesting, if it's been done before, and I think as an introduction just dealing with the windows while simple is a good way to get the player into the mindset initially. It faded a lot in the middle, being pretty much the same gameplay for most of the game when it really needed some variety (like, maybe the killer cuts the power so you need to run to the basement to fuel a generator periodically, or maybe the killer sets up ladders to higher windows that you need to knock over or something), then I felt it came back in the end by mixing things up with the killer entering the house. Even if I did wish they came up with something better then just, because he never goes for the upper level windows those don't get barricaded.

I always look forward to 616 Games, because they do come up with some good concepts, but yeah, the execution wasn't good with this one. It needed a bit longer in the oven. Too dull, needed a bit more complexity/variety to make it more interesting.

Looks like the dev doesn't know how a clock works :) This game was kinda meh. Like a slower version of whack-a-mole.

This game is pretty boring. The gameplay relies on you to ignore all logic and is mostly a kind of "whack-a-mole" situation with repair the plank barricades on the windows where the killer keeps breaking. How can there be no one to call the police for 6 whole hours with all that breaking and hammering noise, considering Samantha is living in a inhabited neighborhood?! The final confrontation with the gun is also anti-climatic, considering she could have just shot the killer from the beginning when he broke any of the windows. And the killer's plan for revenge is extremely lame. Speaking of home invasion games, there's one interesting game in this genre coming up called "STRANGER" with the full game coming out July 2022. An early access release is already out if you want to try it.

Dude, I think it's safe to say that you gotta stop entertaining this developer because they're not creating anything worthwhile. Every game they make is just worse and worse than the last and the premise is always so boring and unfeasible.

Yuck... awful writing and voice acting. It wouldn't be so bad if it were done on purpose but I will not accept that this was done with that in mind. Yawn... You get my thumbs up, but sadly, this game does not.

These are the same clown laughs from that ridiculous clown game and this is the same music from at least two other games. These rooms are reused from other games too. It's just all getting very repetitive and it's leading me to believe that maybe 616 has switched from making interesting games featuring white bat's audio to just spewing out nonsense for profit.
