Tony's chair scared me more than that movie. 🤣🤣

**SPOILERS** I know ain't nobody finna see this movie anytime soon but.. I think it's worth mentioning that the pool is not haunted. The WATER itself is haunted. The house/pool is built on top of an ancient Wishing Well that ACTUALLY grants wishes. The problem is that when it grants one, it needs a sacrifice. Now... yeah, that's still dumb af. But it's made so much worse because the movie plays it up like this big mystery. So when the reveal happens later in the movie you're like.. "That's it??" Like.. you can't play up the mystery like that if the reveal is going to be stupid. If they had been open about it from the jump, they could have made a decent enough movie. Like, the water makes you hallucinate when you're in close proximity to it. Also, if it gets inside you, it can possess you completely. Like.. there are interesting ideas here just... terrible execution. Again, the premise IS dumb tho, I agree with that whole-heartedly lmaoo.

I actually liked this one. Blumhouse is quickly becoming a theater crush of mine. The possession of the dad kinda changed things a bit. He definitely set the son up with that smily face quarter and lost his everloving mind near the end. Bless his heart. But filling the pool and staying was the right move though. Exactly what I would’ve done. Houses are hard to come by these days.

Review When Evil Lurks

The chair got me again, lol. The premise would be good, with some adjustment, for a Twilight Zone episode but not a feature film. If I like the house but the pool is haunted, I am not staying there. Why? Kids. Some kid in the family or their friends are liable to be curious and mess with the pool water. And what assurance do you have that only the water will be haunted? Nope, not dealing with it.

Scary movies are my favorite so I'm hoping I'm not disappointed..thank you

My ex and I just went last week to see this while I was visiting back home. I didn't ask her what she thought about it lol but it was ok I guess. I agree with Tony about liking the family but I did say out loud how the plot would unfold as soon as we get introduced to them
