I really believe in scalp massage, too. Plus it feels so nice. You know, it looks really cute when you go to bed. It doesn't look greasy at all. You look like a teenager! My mother had the thickest, healthiest head of hair, even through chemo. I, unfortunately, did not inherit her hair. I do worry about the dry shampoo use. I wonder if it clogs the follicles. This was terrific, Tammy! Love, Melissa
I always say you have the best hair on RU-vid. And now I know why! I'm convinced....hair oil will be my new best friend. Thank you for always being an inspiration!. xo
Tammy, hello!A lot it women in Russia uses burdock oil and castor oil for hair and sculpt!I can recommend them also!Burdock oil is my favorite!Thank you for sharing with us your favorites!
Absolutely fabulous advice for keeping our hair as healthy as can be without too much fuss. I can’t sleep until my hair is coated with Moroccan Oil, exactly like yours, Tammy. Lately, my sweet husband has been having to help me get it done every night; wow it feels good! 😊 I haven’t watched your exercise video yet because I can’t be outside for long periods of time. I have faith that my doctors are going to reach a diagnosis very soon, so hopefully I’ll be back to normal. Thank you, gorgeous and have a wonderful weekend! Lots of love, Lisette 💗💗💗xo
This is a wonderful video. I have been oiling my hair for about six months now and what a difference! I have a concoction of about seven different oils that I found works really well for my hair. Usually I have it on for three or four hours in the morning when I take the pups for a walk and puttering in my garden. Again, what a difference it has made. P.S. I tried your pool workout in the pool without any weights and holy moly, I felt it the next day! But no discomfort in my joints! No flare up of my tendinitis! So, thank you for that. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs - Barbara
I have post menopausal hair loss and I just love your hair! I was fortunate to be blessed with a very full head of hair but the loss is noticeable to me. Thanks for the informative video! PS, love your dogs!!
Holy Smokes! Your Hair is truly your "Crown of Glory"! So Beautiful!!! Thank you so much, for sharing your nightly hair, beauty routine. Could you please consider sharing your hair supplements you are currently using? I would love to see the shampoo and conditioner you are using, as well. You look so much like a young Ursella Andress...a Bond Girl!!!
I just want to thank you for this video. I took your advice on applying the hair oils in my hair and it’s been a game changer! My hair was breaking etc. something awful and since doing this I bet it’s improved 90%! I don’t leave it in overnight. I probably only leave it in 15 minutes before shampooing so far. I will try overnight next. Thank you again!!!
I’m just loving these pool videos, as a daily pool user I’m enjoying your tips about exercise and taking care of my hair while in the pool. I usually try to not get my hair wet since the chlorine drys it out and I try not to wash it every day. Thanks so much, I’m sure there are a lot of pool lovers like me out there that are just loving these tips also. 🤗
I am a young 65 I have thick long dark hair ,which I also touch up colour wise .I am blessed with a lot of fine hair also..I generally put the Argan oil on my hair after shampooing and conditioning. Wonderful video Tammy!!! I too take good care of my scalp - I learned a long time ago that it matters so much. Your scalp needs “detoxing” to get all of the products we put on our hair cleared away so that it can breathe! My hair is as thick and healthy as it can possibly be at my 60 years of age - AND I will ALWAYS wear it long because of the great variety of styling options!! But - in order to do this my hair and scalp have to be nurtured in order to keep it looking healthy and nice. I try to limit the use of blow dryers and straighteners and curling irons and rollers - I use them only about once a week. I find that if I allow my hair to dry naturally, then put a protective product on it, then use a straightening iron only on the areas that need it and use rollers or my curling iron on the rest of my hair - it actually holds the curl much better than it would if I had blow dried it!! To me, the blow drying gives it a frizzy “starting base” whereas allowing it to dry naturally gives it a much better capability of holding the styling you do to it afterwards.
I did this last night with sweet almond oil. This morning after my shower, my hair is soft and smooth. I will make this part of my hair care routine. Thanks again!
Tammy, I am so glad you posted this video. I just got back from Florida and I didn’t protected my hair when I got on the pool. I noticed later when I washed My Hair some shedding. I have always used a little conditioner not oil. I will be more careful .😘😘 Thank you for your video very good information 😊😊💐💐💐💐
Hey Tammy, two years ago I change the system of my pool from chlorine to salty it was not super expensive and the change it made in my skin was fenomenal, you may have noticed this when in Florida it really makes a difference and since you are so dry you should consider to do this at home
Wonderful tips, Tammy. I work Caudalie Divine Oil through my hair strands every other night and put it up in a scrunchie. It makes my hair shiny, but not oily. Love how conditioned it feels too. Have a great weekend. xo, Sophia
Thank you, Tammy, for taking the time to actually do all the steps in this video. It is very helpful to see what you do. I've recently upped my game on scalp health and now use a hair oil purchased at Target. I've also used streight up avocado oil with a few drops of rosemary essential oil. Your video showed me that I'm on the right track for both product and technique.
Love this! Someone told me about wetting hair before getting into the pool Because our strands absorb whatever it touches first when dry. So it’s great to hear that reiterated when educating about pool hair health. Love your videos!!!!
Tammy, what you said about product use (as well as tools) makes so much sense. I don't 'get' the dry shampoo thing & never did. If it's dirty, wash it, period. I don't like anything that coats my scalp or my hair. Blessings! Jackie in NY state
Hi Tammy, Coconut Oil does nothing for my skin or hair. I do find that using Avocado Oil does a good job as does NUXE hair oil. (The Nuxe is lovely!) Your videos are always informative, so helpful and entertaining too.
I have long hair and use oil on my hair ( not as much as you) on the day I wash my hair. I wash at night, and leave the oil in it in all day. Just wear my hair in a bun that day. I have been doing this for about a year and have seen a dramatic difference in my hair. After I wash my hair I run a small amount of oil through my ends. It works for me. I will try focusing on my scalp before I wash. Thanks for the excellent video.
I'm putting oil and a thin layer of conditioner in my hair right now. Something I only do once in awhile! I know better, too. But as always, you remind me to take better care of me. Thanks, my friend! I should send you my doctor visit co-pay!
Hi Tammy, I have to get into more scalp health. It's so important. You have beautiful hair. That's true about our mother's and grandmother's mot using all the new things on their hair. You never cease to amaze me regarding how knowledgeable you are on so many topics. Thank you.
Awesome information Ms. Tammy, are there any oils we should avoid that may build up and clog hair follicles? Thank you so much for sharing your beauty tips with us. Also, thank Lou and the girls for sharing you with us! We love you!
Another great video for me - blonde in the chlorine pool for exercise - great hair protection - I'm not seeing any green tint but I try to keep my head out of the water.
I swim..and have blonde highlights.....I wrap it up on top of my head....and NEVER get my hair wet in the pool...while I swim.( I do an easy lap style with head above water ). I paid a lot of money for my highlights and do not want to damage the color or my hair...I oil up head to toe before I swim...condition hair and skin from drying..... hope this helps.
Hi Tammy. Whatever you’re doing it’s working because your hair is gorgeous! Also, I wanted to let you know a salt water pool is a chlorine pool. The equipment converts salt (sodium chloride) to a form of chlorine. It is far more gentle to the hair and skin, but is chlorine nonetheless. We’ve owned a pool business in S Louisiana for over 30 years and have to stress this to people who are especially sensitive to chlorine use. I personally like it because I feel it’s better for the environment if for no other reason than less plastic chlorine buckets are being trashed.
I scalp massage with jamaican black castor oil, marula oil and lavender & rosemary essential oils once a week before I use a sulphate, paraben free clarifying shampoo. What has really upped my oil/deep condition game is my flax seed microwavable hot head cap!! I hardly ever get my hair wet in the pool because I have curly auburn color treated hair and it fades quick enough as it is. I am going to Daytona beach in a couple of weeks though. I plan on using conditioner and water in a spray bottle to protect my hair from salt & chlorine. And as soon as I get home, an Olaplex treatment and deep conditioner!
I can't deal with all my hair. Looking for a cute short cut. Easier for me to deal with and dries quicker. Uses less products also. I always add a drop or two of a good oil to my conditioner...that works for me. Xoxox
So informative!! Thanks much Tammy, I'm going to try this using my olive cooking oil. I have been coloring my hair for over 35 yrs and have never used a oil treatment of any kind on it and my hair is always extremely dried out even with using conditioner after shampooing!
I haven't watched this video because I'm late to go to town but just wanted to say how much I love your videos and particularly your makeup tutorials! You are elegant but you also make me laugh. Hugs from Australia, Rowena
Great video Tammy! I've been using oils on my hair at night for a long time...not every night since I shampoo my hair every other day. Started out using the VO5 hot oil treatments back in the day...lol. Thanks for sharing your routine Tammy! Have a great weekend!
Loved this video i am washing my hair this morning and will apply oil and do some work around the house before i wash it. I have started taking hair vitamins and they have definitely made a difference. You have beautiful hair, mine has started to thin just at the front hair line.
Tammy, this video was really helpful and different. You pool video was really joyful too! 💗 It really inspired me to kick myself on the butt and actually go swimming after or before my workday. Thank you! You are a real lioness!
Thank you so much for the great ideas. I already use a couple oils in my hair, my favorite being the Lanza healing treatment after I blow dry. But I never thought about doing the oil and conditioner before getting in the pool...well maybe next year I will open my pool...but I did know to wet my hair before getting into the pool....glad you shared that one. My beautician told me that a few years ago...much love ....xoxo
Hello there Miss Tammy, I love doing oil treatments and hair masks. One night I was going to a friends to bake a cake, before I went I showered, I am sure your happy to hear before I went out I showered. Lol But really after I showered shampoo and conditioned then I oiled and masked rolled my hair up in a clip and went to her house. She said what's with the hair, I told her I am going with the wet slick look. I have very fragile hair. And yes you are correct about pulling on the with a band or something. I can tell you that I usually push my glasses up from my nose and push my hair back and I noticed that by that temple area was getting thinner and little fuzzies like fresh hair. I stopped that ! No more CMT, now I hang them on my shirt but my chest, I need to get me some eyeglass rope for around my neck. Hopefully I won't choke myself. Funny but I know you understand we do things that seem natural and we are pulling our precious hair. Be well love your videos you as usual are awesome.
You are such an inspiration! I will be using all your tips. You have such gorgeous hair it goes with the gorgeous woman you are. Thank you my friend. I am inspired.
A bit off topic, but I just got my Tom Ford makeup brush after you raving about it and you are soooo right! It is amazing can’t wait to buy another! Thanks again for your spot on review!
You have such beautiful hair Tammy! I also do the hair oil treatment on my hair the night before I wash it. It does make a huge difference. I like Healing Harmonic Oil from Innersense.
GORGEOUS HEAD OF HAIR Beautiful Tammy🌹!! You really take such good care of your hair with these hair treatments!! That's why it's SO GORGEOUS!!!Thanks so much for sharing!! Have a Beautiful weekend 🌞🏊🌞xoxo
You have the most beautiful hair ever!! I am thinking of ordering Monat! I have pretty thick hair but years of being forced to wear my hair back has made my sides thin a little! I love that rejunanique oil, I ordered it twice from amazon and it was amazing!
It is the one product I use religiously...I think it has made such a difference with my scalp...If have linked my Monat...if you have questions...let me know!
Tammy thank you so much for doing this video... We are leaving Sunday to spend a week in Florida... I always put a light conditioner in my hair and I have a Columbia Bora Bora ll Booney that I will wear while I'm outdoors so this was a great video for me...love love all your wonderful videos....Happy Wknd beautiful 😍
Hey Tammy! I mix a bunch of different oils and put it on before bed. Also love the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day. I just purchased a scalp exfoliator from IGK which I use before color. Thx for all your info! You know how much I love you and your videos! Hugs! Xo
Wonderful video Tammy. This makes me think of the Calvin and Hobbs cartoon where he put Crisco in his hair for school pictures :-) We used to do pretreatment when we were young and would go to Lake Michigan for the day. Hug to the pups. -Sue in MI
Wonderful video Tammy - I saw the exercise video also and decided to join the Y and take water aerobics. I have a lot of trouble in my knees so I think this is the best idea. I use Cacay Oil on my scalp and jojoba oil in the longer lengths. My hair isn't as long as yours but it is long & highlighted. Your hair is fabulous - just so healthy. Don't ever cut it - please. I hope you enjoy your weekend. Hugs to you my beautiful friend. xoxo Deb :-)
This is why I adore you so much Ms Tammy. You give us REAL knowledgeable tips for everyday use from every aspect of life. I would never have thought of doing this before swimming and I have a head full of highlights. Was wondering if I could use grape seed oil for the oil treatments? Thank you so much for this. I know whenever I see your beautiful face pop up on my notifications I’m guaranteed to come away knowing more than i did before. Thank you for this! Hope you and Lou and those gorgeous doodles have a wonderful weekend! Much love xoxxoxo
