Your skin is obviously gorgeous and this routine suits you, but this is just a caution for people who are NOT seasoned AHA users: that glycolic acid is STRONG. If you have sensitive skin or your skin has not worked up to using something like glycolic acid on a regular basis, proceed slowly or you WILL compromise your skin barrier and get very sad. For the vast majority of people, using that glycolic acid once a week will be plenty. Those with iron skin can get away with using it more often. Irritation and a compromised skin barrier can actually CAUSE hyperpigmentation, when that's what you might have been trying to fix in the first place. I have fair skin, but a dermatologist I love, Dr. Vanita Rattan, dedicates her entire channel to skin of color and she recommends that people with darker skin avoid glycolic acid entirely, choosing instead to recommend lactic or mandelic.
@@pinkcutiekaylyn You can't simulate the negative effects of cumulative AHA overuse with a patch test, which are great to test for acute reactions but not much beyond that.
I legit was watching one of your other videos and wanted to get a nighttime routine from you and this video came up. Right on time. I love your skincare videos!
Hello. I saw your other video where you use the blemish control cleanser by cerave, does it mean during the day I should use the blemish control cleanser and at night I should use the Cerave SA smoothing cleanser? Please help I'm new to skincare
You apply your products really well ! I'm like a Neanderthal ! I really liked the SA cleanser but changed to Neutrogena cleaning clear as it has the same amount of S.A but also 2% Glycolic & 2% PHA . My PM routine is really simple as my Tret formula is so good , nearly a year on Tret now .
Hey babe, how many times in a week or day do you do your Skincare routine for Daytime and Nighttime? Btw I purchased all the products you recommend from your previous video 💕
lol you shouldn't purchase someone's entire skincare routine just because it might work for them. From what I see, she uses a lot of actives that can irritate the skin if you're not used to it. In general, you shouldn't be using products with such high concentrations. Also skin care routines are done every day/night
Hi been following your videos since last year, just checked your routine now and I was wondering why you switched Dudu osun soap to cerave cleanser and I really loved that soap.can you help me understand better
So apparently vitamin E actually isn't that great in brightening or a lot of what we're told it does. You can look up what actual doctors think along with scientific studies. Though If it works for you, by all means. But I do think anyone using it should consider what exactly is it doing for them.
Everytime you post a new routine I split my screen with the Boots app and buy everything! Lol your skin is beautiful and thank you for all the info and guidance ❤❤❤
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! I bought the ordinary products and the cerave cleanser and also a sunscreen. Hopefully I’ll get rid of my hyperpigmentation. Unfortunately the dark spot zero cream is sold out everywhere. Do you know something different that is similar good to get rid of hyperpigmentation ? (A cream)
Glad I came across this video. You're the first person who described their skin "problems" that are similar to mine. I know we have different skin but I'm excited to try this routine because you described my skin.
Hello, so we can use both Glycolic acid and the sa smoothing cream cerave together? I have a dry and a little bit sensitive skin and idk if it will be safe for me
I’m sensitive but this girl skin look so good.. I don’t know 😩🤦🏽♀️😂. I’m going to do her morning and night routine while I watch the video. If this doesn’t work, I give up! Lol.. chemical peel at a professional 🥴. Most facial products are so expensive and takes so long to become effective. Geesh! But I’m going to try this for a month. That’s all it gets from me😂. No improvement, CANCELED 😠😂!!!
Hey girl, I literally love your videos and you have my baby sis name. Also if you can, pls do a video on fading stretch marks, cause I have it badly and it is not getting better with everything I do, I trust you so I would appreciate it, Thanks.
Hi. You are saying here the toner only use for night time. But your day routıne care vedio you used this toner as a day toner. So can you please explain this if I got it wrong. Thank you
Again, I love you taking this time out to share what you do. We know everything doesn't work for everybody. But it works for me. 😊Thank you a woman of color we use a lot of this now cautiously but we use it. I definitely do you did a great job.😊
Please after using cerave acne control 2% salicylic acid and all your acne clears out what other wash can you use to follow up to stop your acnes from reoccuring , for an oily skin , i was thinking between cerave smoothing cleanser or cerave foaming cleanser but please which should i get .
At which step would you use Retinoids and which ones do you suggest , my skin is quite healthy ..it's oily sometimes so I just want to brighten it and have that matte look but weirdly with that slight sheen aswell
Does anyone know if it's normal for a "white foam" to form after apply applying niacinamide? I saw in another video that it could mean too much is being applied, but I am honestly not sure
Pls after this night routine is sunscreen not needed, and please after the night routine can someone still go out to like party and did u need sunscreen if going out at night
Hi Michelle, I will like to know if a cleanser is necessary as I currently do not use it. I feel my facial wash already washed off my previous skincare and all. I do not wear makeup as well.
No it’s definitely not necessary! Use what currently works for you, I only would recommend the cleanser for a deeper clean as it exfoliates into the skin.
What’s the difference between the serum in the beginning and the oil at the end ? Not the products but what it does to your skin. I’m new to the skincare world.
Michelle, I ordered for The Ordinary glycolic acid and amazon sent EELHOE glycolic acid toner,is it good or I should return it,does it serve same purpose and as good as The Ordinary? Thanks
