"Night Train" is a twelve-bar blues instrumental standard first recorded by Jimmy Forrest in 1951.
There have been several notable recordings of it over the years by various artists including a number of releases by James Brown in the 1960s and later. The most influential recording for me was by Oscar Peterson and his trio recorded in 1963. (for some reason Peterson recorded it in the key of G, which I copied here, though most other versions I'm aware of were in other keys)
