I want to send them my SA TRP operator to do a total overhaul like this. Thanks for the vid. I’m glad us Californians have an option for making a nice custom pistol!
You have convinced me to send my colt special combat goverment to them. While it's a reliable gun, the slide and frame fit and loose trigger is driving me nuts.
Can Nighthawk make a 9mm conversion upper for it? I have a Springfield 1911 ultra compact in .45 acp. I'd be willing to have them make a 9mm conversion if that's possible..
Keep shooting them if you’re like me after thousands and thousands of rounds I find I really only shoot my les Baer for what ever reason I just shoot it better. Keep it up
I can't believe you spent $2000 (on top of the base pistol cost) and accepted that abortion Frame to Main Spring Housing mis-match fit ...............Yet in another video you cried for thirty minutes about your Les Baer that had a tiny almost undetectable scratch on it. Wow. I have a few Nighthawks and Springfields and they both do the quality of work equal to the price you pay for...........sometimes.... but not always. N.H. is not without fault. I had to send one back (a Kestrel model) because there were MANY things wrong with it............which they did fix some of but not all. I fixed the rest myself after I forced them to send me replacement parts. Very disappointed with them on that unit and as a result, will not buy another from them unless I see the completed gun in person first like I did with the Chairman model I bought when I took a bike ride up to NH and Wilson Combat to buy some guns. I can say that NH was VERY accommodating when I got to their shop. I spent most of the day meeting a lot of their gunsmiths which let me sit with them as they worked. I sat with a guy that was fitting a slide for 20 minutes. I learned a lot of special gun smithing tips from them that day that I now use myself. Meeting with Wilson Combat was VERY disappointing compared to NH. Not very customer friendly at all ...........even though I told them I would be buying a couple of pistols and/or maybe an AR that day. As a result of their lack of interest in me.......... I didn't buy from them at that time. They didn't like the fact, when I mentioned, I had been to NH the previous day (they are only about five miles apart) and how they gave me a complete factory tour, sat with their guys to watch them work and that I had bought a pistol from them. Wilson Combat employees in general hate NH because ex-WC employees had left WC to start up the NH company. I previously heard and knew about the bad blood but didn't realize how deep the emotions were at WC until I saw it first hand. They really don't like NH. NH guys on the other hand didn't have a bad word to say about WC. Salesman Micky Shields (as well as all employees at NH) spoke highly of WC. Yesterday I noticed the Kestrels stainless steel Main Spring Housing is rusting badly on every surface after only about a year and it's never been out of my house! I'll have to bead blast it to clean it up. I generally keep all my guns (carbon or stainless) well oiled as none of the others are showing any signs of rust. NH said it's a stainless part but they are obviously using low grade, high carbon stainless. Probably a 410 series as it is a highly magnetic part. For an uncoated, non-pressure containing part that will see a great deal of hand contact like a MSH...........That part should have been 310 or 316 stainless as a minimum. IMHO........For the price point of their pistols..........All uncoated, stainless controls and small parts should be Armco 17-4 PH stainless. Looks great and will NEVER rust. Very few custom gun makers use any 17-4PH but it should be the standard material for uncoated stainless parts from a high price custom gun maker.
Just bought a Les Baer Custom Carry, with a gun of that quality would it be worth it to let you guys massage it,if so $$ and what fixes would you do,pistol only has about 350 rounds thru it
I agree cali has us limited on selection…everyone says why don’t you move lol. Say that to my $700k house and $100k per year paycheck. Very well done 👍
The Marshall Gun Channel Thank you sir, Just sent my Springfield loaded a few days ago. Question for you, what do you think about a sig sauer 1911 models ?
Mel Fernandez I think they are built well and you get a lot of features, the only thing I don’t like about them is they are a 80 series and the 70 series are much better in many ways .
Yeah I'll stick with my range officer elite Champion... no rattle noise has great groups, that's all I need..I just don't see what makes those guns expensive you just over paying IMO just to say your gun was hand built.. who cares lol
