Just finishing the UI portion when leaving this comment. Wolf I could totally see you doing intro to new software tutorials almost as much as these kind of intros into new games! Very informative not just on the basics but how each basic thing is affected by a more complex system

Excellent guide, tysm. Have played through the tutorial and found the first Abayence realm but had to wrench myself away because need to get up early. BOO! utterly entranced so far but my graphics are a quite blurry for some reason - will play about with it tomorrow - and as a 3rd person...er...person...I find the movement stance and speed a bit painful. But it might be that female characters don't have a specific movement yet? I feel a little Hunchy McCaveman for my Victorian lady. But the character creator brought a small tear to my eye. On clicking 'age', the game offered me the ancient number of 43! I'm actually older than this, but I'm so fed up with smooth-faced vat-grown young/anime characters many games present you with (honourable exception in BG3) it was such a refreshing surprise, I was unexpectedly mildly emotional about it. I now love my middle-aged weathered Hermit woman! They do a good nose too - so many games obsessed with tiny button pixie-made noses! So, very excited to get into Nightingale properly. Btw, very dashing facial hair you have there! thanks again for the excellent starter guide. Will be referencing often!

I was having a great time in the swamp area before going to the first "real area.". There's a ton of stuff to find if you don't mind climbing the towers. I had my first death. I found an umbrella so I jumped off. Not a good idea when you don't know how to use it first. After going into the first area after the tutorial is where a game breaking bug reared its ugly head. All the sticks I was picking up were turning into animal bones. No sticks, no bed, lots of dying from exhaustion. I filled out a bug report and started over. Game certainly has a lot of potential.

Games keep going to online only and personally avoiding these types, to many burns in the past but I do enjoy watching the gameplay videos

Another interesting take on survival. I like how these kind of games are really starting get graphical love. This game looks pretty nice visually. Hopefully I can get some time to play this one, after I'm done playing Enshrouded, and Baldur's Gate (I'LL NEVER BE DONE), and Helldivers, And Hell Let Loose, and seriously like 10 other games. There's too many XD. This one is going on the list :)

OMG I've just spent 7 hours running back to my base because I had no idea you could fast travel to respite point 🤦🤣. I'm actually really enjoying this so far. It's a nice break from the heaviness of BG3. I'm a sucker for Steampunk, and it's awesome to see a steampunk game that has 3rd person. It's a really beautiful game too, watching the sunset bouncing off the crystal fields in my home biome is so hypnotic.

Don’t care for the equipment power is the only way to advanced the game. You get into a grinding loop to build weapons and armor.

At least a survival whit more need for thinking and learning all the material and its options! Im allready sold, I dont need ask for these or that or demand my npc helper shall look like barbi or miss venezuela. Its early access, it have bugs and can be bumby and lag, but darn I like it and the options I can see in it all. I look so forward and enjoy the worlds for now.

Since this game doesn't come with its own private dedicated server tools and depending on their own servers which i am MAD about once the tutorial is over I can set it to be private and invite my friends to join it and I wont have to worry about my pc or game staying on correct? thanks.

Im a n00b to survival games but I like them a lot :) so 3 questions please 1) can you disable the dropd items on Death? reason = Im autistic and often get distracted and end up farming for a long time then die to something I didnt know was thee cos Im focused o farming and dont want to spend 30mins tavelling back to get my stuff 2) is there an option ot make the creatures "freindly until attacked" or some such ? = reason, as per above, I get distracted and dont know the mobs are there and then die, 3) is the game playable completely solo? Awesome video, regardless of the answers, I hope to see you play this more either in vids or Live :)

is there a specific event in-game that needs to happen in order for the fae creature to respawn resources on your map? the environmentalist in me really hates chopping down trees that don't respawn lol

Nce, downloading the game now. Bin curies of this game for a while. And about D&D/baldurs gate is lolth sworn priest and cleric the same thing? Im a bit confused on that. And not just lolth sworn cleric but all races cleric/priest are they the same or seperate?

One thing all survival games have is…… “Not enough stamina….”

The last minute UI revamp, the combat, and the animations really need work. The crafting system, while the framework is there, needs massive polish pass to remove the clutter. The story needs a re-think, yes at least part is voice acted; the clicking to continue every moment or two is....tiresome at best. I am still confused how a game on this engine can look this good, but the characters (NPC/Player) look so bad, at least in the face area and proportions of the limps/head. I hope it improves through Early Access because it could be a very interesting game (also it needs a single player mode). -- TLDR: there is a lot of good ideas, but the execution missed the mark and it feels like it was rushed out to Early Access for whatever reason.

Why do the graphics look so pasty flat and cheap, it looks like something made 25 years ago. On Enshrouded you can run around a tree and it looks like a tree on Nightingale it is flat I don't get it.

Sadly - this looks like everything I do not like in one game. Instanced, none open world, grindy and just very pointless. I love games like Minecraft and modded version add plenty of depth and automation to it. This just sounds... No thank you.
