Nightingale's latest update has a helluva hook - zip, climb and soar across the Realms using the new grapple ability! The Grapple and Travel Update also adds fast travel, a bunch of Offline Mode features (Steam Deck support, cloud saves, online character migration), an inter-realmic storage device called a Pepys Box, and more.

Nice update! I honestly haven't played much since launch, between the lag and confusion progression around tier 3 i decided to give game more time before trying it again. this is tempting.

I would love to have more variety in ruins, dungeons, treasure loot and in the worlds itself so each realm gives a new adventure you can discover

The grapple is crazy good! At peak upgrades , I'm getting over a 50m hook distance, it's amazingly fun to get to those floating platforms that where oddly restricted to only accessible via the fae super jump temporary buff. Between the hooks and umbrella, zero complaints about world traversal. Absolutely fantastic update!

Wait, the transfer deletes the online character? I did it as a backup file, didn't even open the zip file. If it removes the character from online features, rather not open that file.

Hi there. The transfer doesn't delete the online character. The only restriction is that you wouldn't be able to port your offline progress back into your online profile.

@PlayNightingale Thank you for replying. So the online character remains, but any progress with the offline character will not apply to online or carry over, so it's having 2 different save files. That's what I thought originally, but the video confused me. Thanks again for your time.

offline mode is only one way? sad... so if you improve your game offline no mater what... it is just for fun... sad i dont think that was the goal for offline mode

No you can still play online mode. People just wanted offline mode, so they had that for a little while now, but now you can send your game file from Online to offline mode if you wanted to keep progress (which before you had to start fresh to play offline)

this makes sense because an offline save would be easily hackable and manipulated then people would be uploading their saves full of over powered stuff they cheated in and ruining any online economy there is or ruining other peoples experience who wants to play online the way it's meant to be played with others and not with cheaters.
