Mike this was AWESOME! Just walking around with a friend, seeing what you see. For me, I can't get enough because I grew up in Hollywood. It was good to see my old high school. I went to HHS from 68' - 71'. I had a class picture and other pictures taken on those steps. I have so many photographs of Hollywood back when I lived there from 62'- 71'. Keep it up Mike!!! Another sensational video GiV! They really take the prep work for the Oscars seriously. No loitering . . .. That's too bad that the "Tower Records" property is being morphed into something else. I wonder if anyone ever considered keeping it going by selling music related products and having special events featuring rock celebrities. It could have been like a museum and business simultaneously.

in the late 80s that was a fun place but the Sunset Strip by the Whiskey and Gazzaris was a 24/7 party for about 5 years until grunge killed it. That place was amazing when I was 25..Hollywood Blvd was full of homeless kids

What a blast from the past, the Roxburry became Myagi's it was an awesome sushi place and Dublin's was so much fun on Mondays and Wednesdays and the Coffee shop next door (it was called that) but I don't think they served coffee. Then walking up to the Saddle ranch making smores and riding the bull one time only. Let's not forget the Key Club and the House of Blues, so sad the VIPER ROOM is getting demolished too and replaced with condos in a few months and how sad that TOWER RECORDS is gone, it should have been deemed a historical site. Sunset will never be what it once was, but I'm glad I got to enjoy it and Hollywood in my prime. Great content Mike so proud of all you do! My six year old loves watching your videos, hoping to catch you at your shop one of these days we have a gift for you. Have a great week :)

Sammy Shore along with his writing partner Rudy De Luca founded the Comedy Sore in 1972 (his wife Mitzi took over in 1974). The Comedy Store club launched the careers of many comedians including Rodney Dangerfield, David Letterman, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, Jim Carrey and others including his own son, Pauly. He was chosen, in 1969, to open for Elvis Presley’s comeback performance at the International Hotel, Las Vegas. Sammy Shore opened for Elvis’ Road shows from 1969 until 1972. Shore continued to perform comedy, opening for Tony Orlando, Tony Bennett, Barbra Streisand, Sammy Davis Jr. and others. Shore appeared in many films and made an appearance on the Ed Sullivan show.
