Most package will be to heavy to carry with a drone. This seems like a way of you know not paying people to deliver your packages. It all about cutting people out of the equation. They don’t have to pay for a drone. But down have to pay for drone operators. Which in turn will cost more money than just paying people to deliver the packages.

Consider that the speed of a drone is not that great and the warehouse can be many miles away. It’s simply not an efficient way to deliver packages. Plus it’s likely that one drone operator cannot fly multiple drones at once, the labor costs will be pretty high as Amazon would have to hire one operator for each drone.

What is the point of using delivery drones? Amazon would need to have a drone operator to deliver 1 package at the time. Whereas, 1 delivery driver can deliver a truck load of packages to many locations in a delivery area. Drone delivery is just a novelty, the idea probably came from some high level executive after a drunken night out!

...not just the noise, but dropping packages on concrete from around 8 - 10' up can't be good for the contents, particularly fragile items. Also as seen, packages are blown around by the drone's rotor wash and can end up off the recipient's property. Finally sitting out on a driveway or lawn close to the public sidewalk makes them more vulnerable to theft.
