I've had a NDE and to be honest it changed the rest of my life. I had my experience at 25 after a nearly fatal car accident. What I came away with from the experience is that we are here to help others, seems so simple but that for me is the meaning of life.
I agree , it seems to be the primary reason for our existence. Life is so difficult without assistance or help , everybody needs family or friends . Life without it wouldn't be worth living probably.

I was pronounced dead for 4.51 min. in 1998, I was floating over my body while they tried to put me on the ambulance. They dropped the gurney hard and my soul reentered my body. Alot has happened since then! Glad to be here 😊 !!!

Calling former presidents by the honorific "Mr. President" is meant as a sign of respect. Nope, they didn't but a federal court ruled it unconstitutional. Just because a federal court rules in favor or against, doesn't mean it's already law. For example, a federal Court ruled the bump stocks for AKs and ARs to not fit the definition of a machine gun but the law didn't change

My heart stopped multiple times when I was 20 (I'm 70 now). I just woke up tired thinking that I had fallen asleep in the doctor's office. No memory of anything while I was out at all. I didn't feel any pain at the time.

I died in 2011 had a ruptured brain aneurysm that caused 3 strokes first stroke in emergency didn't say anything dropped dead my daughter came in and told them I had complained of a headache. They had put me on life support then air lifted to Metropolitan Methodist with a neural surgeon after a cat scan. There Dr. Garrett took my case call my wife said I had passed away and needed permission to remove me from life support. I remember dying. I remember 3 out of body visions. I regained brain function after 1wk coma then a team of neurologists asked my family permission to be removed from life support. I don't remember the first month other than the visions. They said irreversible damage would be on life support paralyzed brain damage.
I spent 3 1/2mths in 3 hospitals. I was totally paralyzed. I was on life support 7wks. I couldn't talk for 8wks. I was tube fed 9wks. I left the 3rd hospital wheelchair & walker. 3mths later riding a bike 4mls every other day. 😊

Republicans need to wise up and get behind a moderate candidate that can work with the opposition instead of shutting down the government every time they don't get things 100% their way. I don't know much about this Hunter Biden case, but I would like to know how often plea deals fall apart like this. Is this a common thing? How is that allowed? Given that most criminal defendants in this country are pressured to go through plea deals instead of to an actual trial, I don't really like the idea that the judge can throw out the deal at the last minute. Isn't the whole idea of a plea deal that you admit guilt in exchange for a lesser punishment? Aren't innocent people pressured to do that regularly? I feel like admitting guilt for a plea deal hobbles a defendant at trial, later, because it casts serious doubt on their presumption of innocence. How is it fair to have a trial against someone who admitted guilt under false pretenses? If we're going to have plea deals instead of trials - and I'm not really sure that's something we should be doing in the first place - then those deals at least have to mean something. We shouldn't be able to pressure defendants and make promises and then snatch it all away at the last minute. Hunter Biden may be an exception to all of this because he is so high profile, but now that I'm watching this happen to him, I am very curious (and worried) about how this plays out for your average defendant. Do we take away plea deals for regular people, too? I really hope NBC follows up on this and provides some context. I want to know how rare or how common it is for a plea deal to fall apart.
When I got shot in the heart I flatlined 3 times. I talked to my friends who stuck their fingers in my wounds to stop the bleeding. I asked them could you hear my screaming in pain? Do you remember what I was saying? They said no you were unconscious and weren't saying nothing. To this day I remember them over me looking at their faces with tears in their eyes and realized I was talking to myself. I flatlined on the ground in the ambulance and on the operating table. Doctors gave me a 2% chance of survival only bc the bullet passed between my ribs 3mm from my heart punctured my left lung and when they performed the exploratory surgery none of my other organs were damaged. That was 25 yrs ago.

It's no joke as far as ambulance costs. Where we live it's $1,750+ and the hospital is less than five minutes away. We don't owe a vehicle so I told my husband to call Uber unless I was unconscious and near death. It's only $14.
