Also The song is based and dedicated to there former drummer James "The Rev" Sullivan who died in 2009 while the album Nightmare was being preformed in the studio. The visuals in the video is that there in a Nightmare about losing The Rev, the guy on the stretcher in restraints is the lead singer M. Shadows, the guy on the floor with the red hair is the rhythm guitarist and background vocals Zacky Vengeance, the guy banging his head against the glass is lead guitarist and background vocals Synyster Gates, the guy crawling on the metal fence is the bass guitarist and background vocals Johnny Christ, the only one you don't see the drummer hence the drums at the end with the bright white light shinning on the drums at the end of the video.
The fucking nightmare . REV WAS THE LEGEND. When they take Shadows to that room and there's REV'S DRUM SET. Literally only the true fans got the message of this song. It's fucking strong to think That REV'S DEATH made them live iin a fuking nightmare.
The problem with A7X is that their music videos for songs like Beast and the Harlot and Bat Country are great but they just love cutting out some of the best parts of the songs from them. When I see a reaction to Bat Country I want a reaction to the music video specifically because it's so fun and freaky, but you miss the end part in the process.
The drum set at the end was there past drummer The Rev he died before this album was finished being produced in the studio this song is off of there 4th album named Nightmare
Hey there, Nice reaction A7X is a great band. This album is special however. I’m sure you were told to not talk about the drummer but Mike Portnoy’s performance is stunning on this album. He was one of the Rev’s favorite drummers and Mike came in and recorded his parts out of respect. 🤘🤘
@@cadifferentreactions Honestly, in my opinion, it's their best song. What happens is that it is a very unique song and different from the rest that they have. Many reactors react to this song as one of the first and they believe that the rest are like that and stop listening to the band. This happens because it talks about slightly sensitive topics and some people do not understand this at first. That is why it is better that you react to other of their songs first and when you know the band, you will be ready ... or not 😂😂
The end of the song is reminding there past drummer who died before the song release.thats why the end of the video clip there's the light in between the drum set😭😭 RIP the Rev..
Okay so some back story abt the video and this whole album. About 10 years ago their drummer the REV or jimmy passed away. They were all childhood friends and during this album he had wrote many songs and worked on many before passing and this whole album is a tribute to him and the drum set you see at the end was his and its showing that there true nightmare is him not being there and not being a le to wake up from it like it's a bad dream "cant wake up in sweats because it's not over yet". Other songs from this album such as so far away, victim and fiction are all about loosing him except fiction is the revs suicide note basicly
This has been my favorite band now for almost 20 years. Definitely should do both Afterlife and Buried Alive next, but with Afterlife I highly recommend the lyric video as the intro and part of the solo is cut off for time constraints in the official video. Subscribed and will definitely be tuning in for more of these reactions, as well as any Tech N9ne (rap legend) that you bring to your channel.
@@cadifferentreactions if you do check out Afterlife watch a lyric video. Parts of the song are missing in the music video version. This also applies to Beast and the Harlot. Buried Alive music video is a lyric video. The Bat Country music video has the entire song. Just something to think about, because people will comment later complaining how you didn't listen to the whole song lol.
at the end of the clip, you see a drums without anyone, that's because drummer jimmy the rev sulivam died before the end of this album in december 2009, then they make several songs in tribute to him.
This song is actually dedicated to their drummer The Rev and he died from drug overdose, so this song could be a depiction or description of losing yourself and even your life to drugs, hence the line "you should've known the price of evil". I could be wrong on that theory, but I do know this song is a tribute, hence the drum kit at the end of the video since it was The Rev's kit.
Love avenged saw them at the first Rockville and was absolutely amazing y’all should also check out Lydia by highly suspect amazing song and a powerful video
Great song, great band ever and great reaction for sure! Please react to avenged 7 fold - little peace from heaven. Thankyou so much. Keep it rock guys!! 🤟
@@cadifferentreactions ahah that´s actually a metaphore ;P This song is one of their masterpieces. If you liked "Nightmare" you´ll like this one for sure ^^
@@Kramer_. M. Shadows has said it was specifically inspired by the Iraq War, which friends of the band had enlisted to go overseas to fight in. The Iraq War had become very controversial after the first year, and a lot of people were becoming very anti-military. Most battalions hadn't finished their 1st tour yet, but the song was a glimpse of what some troops would face when they came home.
This is one song where if you are listening to the video or the album version that requires headphones. You miss a lot of the nuances of the production otherwise. This song was expertly arranged and flawlessly played. As close to a perfect song as you can get imho.
@@cadifferentreactions Some people ask for it to shock reactors. Not because it's necessarily a song that's good for analysis. As a first song, it's been known to stop reactors from doing more songs.
Please react to the brompton cocktail, by avenged sevenfold, it is a very strong and shocking song, it is said that the rev did not die by accident, many of us believe it was a suicide, and we have this masterpiece as well as the fiction that this track seems like a farewell, I recommend that for this song you investigate how the drummer died and also ask yourself what the name of the song refers to, you will be very shocked. greetings thank you!
Thanks for commenting, we have had quite a few requests now for buried alive. oh it is going to be difficult to choose the next avenged sevenfold reaction!
hey guys!! i know you guys have obviously gotten a lot of comments, but as a fan that came initially because of your Lil Peep reactions, and then watching your Bulls on Parade reaction, the Avenged Sevenfold ones, and Juice WRLD n all the stuff in between, i would say A7X (that’s their abbreviation) has two distinct sounds one being more metallic and one more sentimental so tl;dr: as someone who watches a variety of you’re reactions, for dynamics, one of their heavier but best songs, check Second Heartbeat (or Unholy Confessions which had a video),,,, but if you want another softer one like Seize the Day, i’d check out “So Far Away” or “Fiction” which are both also on Nightmare
oops the tl;dr: wound up being just as long, but if you guys read this i hope you take it into consideration!! looking forward to future reactions from A7X, Lil Peep, Juice, and whatever else you guys wind up checking out :’)
wow! thank you so much for commenting! it is really cool to hear a story like that. i often wonder if subscribers just subscribe for 1 artist and only listen to those reactions or like what you did. thanks a lot for the recommendations :)
You should check out the band Sylosis if you like transitions in songs, their lead singer/lead guitarist is an absolutely incredible guitarist and songwriter, one of the best ever and his riffs are nuts.
So many and many greatest titles by A7X. If u gonna be see n earn, i think Danger Line, MIA, dancing dead, St James, Cross roads, Warmness on the soul and an Other one, I won't see you tonight
