Here is the first ever published (as far as I'm aware) SPEEDRUN of Nightmare Ned! I beat the entire game and got the good ending in 23 minutes and 56 seconds!
I've been wanting to speedrun Nightmare Ned for a while now and it took a lot of planning (and still requires more) to come up with a good route for beating this game. Each time you load a new game in Nightmare Ned it will be randomized so that the Shadows in each level will be in different locations. If you create a save file when the game starts you can then test out a route, find all of the shadows, and then when you want to race through it you can reload your save file from the beginning of the game and be able to find all of the Shadows. There are a LOT of different seeds for this game and I have yet to find out all of the possibilities.
There are A LOT of different methods/routes to beating this game as well as many opportunities for different types of speedruns! I'm looking forward to trying out some other routes!
