ha, talking about work hard on sonic, all they do now is just lazy copy pasting nostalgia routes and thats it. Theyve done nothing but Generations or Classic Sonic games copycat and classic Portsmouth since the last 12 years.
if Sega work NiGHTS hard like how they're doing with Sonic, then that's an actual dream come true. I missed NiGHTS like crazy. The last NiGHTS game that they did was the one that was for the Nintendo Wii. I played it, And actually loved it! I just hope they'll make a NiGHTS Into Dreams Trilogy or a Remaster for it. And let it be for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, & PC. But, Sega IS working with Shenmue 3 with a Kick Starter. So maybe . . . They'll make a NiGHTS Into Dreams remaster next from ground up as a Kick Starter as well? Right after they're done with Shenmue 3? . . .Is Possible. But, also from what I'm hearing, the PC gamer's (like me) Probably won't like to hear this. But, Shenmue 3 is going to be on Epic Games Store first, Instead of going to Steam. And if I heard this right, Shenmue 3 isn't going to be moving to Steam until Next Year. Which really sucks and is really unfortunate for the PC gamer's.
70p60hd... you are my goddamn hero. This game was the entire reason I bought a Saturn. It came with that awesome controller and everything. Great game. Thanks for sharing the cutscenes. They rock.
So the regular ending has the recording of Dreams Dreams with the kids in the credits, and the high points ending uses the recording with just the adults. Maybe some metaphor for coming of age or something? Also the vista from the last scene of the high points ending before the credits is the same one Clarice and Elliot appear in just at the end of their dream, and in that last shot they're also near the same tree, in the same positions they were when Elliot carried Clarice there and woke up just as Clarice had her false awakening. This is some Inception shit right there...
I remember showing my friend this cutscene (the Elliott cutscene specifically) in 1996 expecting him to be impressed at the CGI and all he said was “LOL look at his pants what a wigger!”
In the secret ending with Claris and Elliot getting ready for bed and at the top of the clock tower whatever it's called nights was standing on the very top playing her invisible flute it was like nights was really real in the two secret endings with both Claris and elliot.
I don't mean to be ungrateful, but would it kill Sonic Team to add just teeeeny little dialogue into the game?! Then it'd be easier to tell what's going on.
Also, I think the developers wanted to make the game feel more dreamlike, without comprehensible language or something. I agree that if it were more technically feasible more dialogue should've been included, but I also think Journey Of was in another extreme, being somewhat too wordy for its own good (not to mention the writing being rather lacking in places, and the not-so-great acting of the child actors and the bad accents of just about the entire voice cast...)
It's a beautiful thing if you can tell a story without speaking a single word. I'd rather it stayed as is but I get how it would've been confusing, especially for kids. The reboot has a shit ton of cheesy dialogue and passable voice acting (Sonic Team, amirite?), and it stained my memory of NiGHTS. Just like Sonic, it's better when they don't talk.
Would have been cool if they remade the cutscenes like Vicarious Visions remade the cutscenes from the classic Crash Bandicoot games when developing the N. Sane Trilogy.
I'm lucky to have the ps2 version at least on PS3 and even got the Wii sequel. Bolan Wonderland looked like it had a lot of potential but I'm sure like most people who played the demo, wasn't too impressed with the gameplay and graphics. I did like the character designs though. It's only a couple months before the full release but can they really turn it around before then?
