Nightwing is surrounded by emotionally constipated people who live and breathe their work. I like how despite being a hero herself, Starfire gives him a breath of fresh air. He can be funny and not get emotionally backhanded, he can nerd out to her about languages or things he found neat. I like how he speaks to her gently and humanly, while other people might not since she’s visibly extraterritorial. When they’re written well, I love these characters and their happiness.

I know some of you dislike these scenes. But it's so important for characterization. Starfire's powers are fueled by passion and emotion and dick is not only a guy with a hot alien girlfriend, but also a guy who had very little to no free time growing up. So of course he's going to act like that when he's free
EXACTLY. Also Starfire literally acts clueless but she’s not, that’s her way of flirting with him. She likes messin with him 😂 but yeah Grayson hardly ever has time for each other. Star also has her own life too
@@shootingreal5945 Stories are supposed to tell a tale and that encourages their watchers to be like the protagonist. Many people have assumptions that seeing Nightwing and Starfire like this will encourage their teenagers to act the same. Or that sexualization isn't necessary to tell the story. Pick your excuse. People just get angry because they don't understand storytelling. Steven king literally had a preteen orgy in one of his biggest novels. The biggest critics of these things are from people who don't write stories.
