Lyrics: Edema Ruh One by one we light the candles of this show One by one, enter the theatre of the primal birth Silently watch the planetary curtain go down Laugh and rejoice, as the powerful play greets you tonight We are the Edema Ruh We know the songs the sirens sang See us dream every tale true The verse we leave with you will take you home We'll give you a key to open all of the gates We'll show you a sea of starlight to drown all your cares Mirrorhouses, the sweetest kisses and wines A Debussy dialogue between wind and the roaring sea We are the Edema Ruh We know the songs the sirens sang See us dream every tale true The verse we leave with you will take you home Dance to the whistle, to the play, to the story To infinite encores Laugh at the royalty with sad crowns And repeat the chorus once more We are the Edema Ruh We know the songs the sirens sang See us dream every tale true The verse we leave with you will take you home We are the Edema Ruh We know the songs the sirens sang See us dream every tale true The verse we leave with you will take you home
The quality of this clip is superb. I get the beauty and the lyrics telling a story, but don't get the significance to the story trilogy it is referring to. I've not heard of the writer or titles. Any insight would be helpful. Thank you xx
The Kingkiller Chronicle series (fantasy litterature) related wiki: ”Having no country to call their own, the Edema Ruh are travelers and entertainers with talents ranging far and wide, but most commonly involving storytelling, acting, and music. They travel in large groups known as troupes, roaming the country in wagon trains. They generally trade entertainment for food and coin.”
@@yabby6550 hallo 😀thank you so much for your answer and Backgrounds.i am a fantasy books fan, i must look this series in german🤔 the first time i love the sound of the words Edema Ruh🤗greetings from northern germany
The Edema Ruh is specifically the term used in the Kingkiller Chronicles written by Patrick Rothfuss which are likely based on travelling minstrels. Just like he created a two player boardgame in the Kingkiller Chronicles named Tak. It has similarities to GO and Checkers, but I am unsure of the other boardgames, that might have inspired it, as it seems also quite different.
