Nightwish always brings that cohesiveness that makes for a truly great band. Even with their more serious songs, you always come away uplifted. When they let loose like this you can't help but feel their joy in their music.

This is a fun video but I like the performance from Wacken even more. Troy is playing the Uilleann pipes (Irish bagpipes). The magical, almost bell like sound you heard during the quiet interlude right before Troy plays his tin whistle is Finland's national folk instrument, the Kantele. Closest thing to it in the US is an autoharp or hammered dulcimer. Song is a tribute to Finland's forests and lakes. As others have mentioned there is a beautiful version of this song with lyrics in Finnish, Erämaan Viimeinen. TTK20113 has provided a link to a great fan made video with subtitles in English and Finnish. The Finnish lyrics are sung by a guest singer, Jonsu, of the female Finnish pop group Indica. Erämaan Viimeinen is one of the few Nightwish songs with the lyrics in Finnish. Tuomas has said that Finnish is a very practical language and it is hard to write lyrics in Finnish that are musical and poetic so he mostly writes in English. I think the Erämaan Viimeinen vocals are very beautiful, especially the way Jonsu sings them and I wish Nightwish did more songs in Finnish. I love the celtic side of Nightwish, and Tuomas' compositions.

I was with my wife and son and some of his university friends in Glasgow one time, we had mainly folk music on while playing pool, and I overheard one of his friends wistfully comment that nobody ever chooses metal. So I put on (the album version of) this and watched the reactions. Then let it run into the next songs, _7_ _Days_ _to_ _the_ _Wolves_ and _Meadows_ _of_ _Heaven,_ then we did a variety of other metal until we had to leave. My good deed for the day.

that little breakdown in the middle... the sounds of an old English forest with the pixies and unicorns running around in the sunlight... is one of the most beautiful movements of music I've ever heard. Tuomas is indeed the Metal Mozart and a musical genius!

❤ Maybe their cover of Over the hills and far away live (released 2021). In the video you have lots of privat photos since 2012 when Floor joined the band. The live recording was her first with Nightwish in december 2012 in Buenos aires.

They play with such joy. They are Uilleann pipes (also known as Irish bagpipes) not played with the mouth like Scottish one's. Played by Troy as well as flutes, whistles, guitars and all sorts! The swiss army knife of the band. 😂 They have a few with this sort of Celtic sound to them that I'm sure you'll love too. Not on of those but I think you're ready for The Greatest Show on Earth.

I discovered Nightwish in 2020. Listening to many songs.. but, the day I listen to this one, I knew that they will be my favourite band of all time 👌

That was so cool❤ it makes me wonder what voice play does as far as just Movie themes. I love this instrumental also the boy`s really shine. Tuomas is one of a kind, I know that the other`s contribute also but he is totally a poet. Troy is a master at many instrument`s I especially love his pipe`s. Look how young they are here.

This is a good mash-up but my favourite versions are Montreux 2012 (great shots of Troy with the Pipes) and Wacken 2013 (some of this mash up was that show).
