Growling Floor is amazing. I am not in to growling but when Floor does it, everyone enjoys it. As reactor Eric Clarke say, Floor can sit beside you and comfort you and say that everything will be fine and then push you down the stairs. And you will be totally ok with that Hahahahaha
Floor Jansen is the Queen! One of the most badass singers EVER… and where does her range even end?! Also, imagine Floor Jansen using her growling voice to tell her daughter she really needs to drink that glass of milk or else...
One of my favorites is how in the verses the violin and choir follow Floor's vocal line and it creates almost like a small echo effect to it. It's these small insanely good Nightwish details that always work so well and gives the songs their unique charisma.
That's why the Wembley version is my favorite because Floor is standing IN the fog like a real Siren just luring us in!!! And then the GROWLING from Floor while Marko sings is AMAZING!!!! Great Reaction!!!! 😍😍😍

@@themetalmuse We have a 17-year old Maine Coon and he's not so much into Dreamies (we have two brothers that are obsessed by them and Lick-e-Lix), but he can't be distracted. If we try and groom him, he just growls (a bit like Floor) and then swipes.

Great to have you back, and I'm sorry to hear of your recent troubles. 🤟 There are at least two other really popular versions of this song, but this one is by far my favorite. I just love the way it was shot, the editing, and the overall sound. This song was from Floor and Kai's first album with Nightwish, and wow, do they both shine in this performance! When Kai picks up the energy with the double-bass, you just know Floor is windmilling, without even seeing it. 😂
I saw them in the US on this tour and they were freaking PHENOMENAL. She even wore the same outfit at my show :) So glad to have seen them in 2015 and last year as well on the Human :||: Nature tour with their new bass player. Love them always but I am so glad I was able to see this lineup 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I'll second the pyros being hot 🔥 I saw them last year in Birmingham and the pyros were very hot, the pyro bombs actually rocked everyone backwards and made people jump. The ears ringing and the propane smelling fog hung over the arena, it could only be Nightwish live. Epic! 😁

Cat Butt!!! 🐈 The song is basically Tuomas telling off all the internet trolls. This , and to a lesser extent, Ghost River at Wacken, is about all the growls you'll get with Nightwish. Although the next album, that is currently being recorded , is supposed to be heavier. Maybe we'll get a growl in there somewhere. (hopeful speculation). To hear more from Floor right now ,you'll have to check out her former band, ReVamp. Try ReVamp- "Disdain" and "The Trial of Monsters" live from Graspop 2010.

Hope everything is ok and sorry to hear about your troubles. This was an awesome performance and just hearing floor growl gets the hairs on the back of your neck standing. Even more so when you are there in person you can feel it ! As i was at that the performance, sadly not at the front but it was still amazing! Well worth the long trip from Edinburgh on a coach! What a show and what a buzz!

Floor had a band called ReVamp before Nightwish (they actually overlapped until 2016, but she decided not to keep it, unfortunately). Lots of growling there.
Last summer that Sabaton was in Athens, I was somewhat close to the front-center, maybe 50 meters away from stage? And I felt the heatwave from their pyrotechnics. Great experience! This summer that Nightwish was in the same area for their live, I had high hopes for a good pyrotechnic show but I was disappointed. They didn't use any at all and they kinda chopped off the time from a few songs. But ok, Floor was pregnant, I understand that this could be dangerous for her and for the duration of the songs she might have also been out of breath. Just from my point of view, I am watching all these amazing live shows and I wanted to experience the same, it didn't happen in this one but I am hoping for the next!

Not the most important NW song. Not necessarily the "best". But my personal favorite. Everything just...works. Want to really hear Floor growl? "Misery's no Crime", with Revamp, while she was working with both bands.
Tuomas' ode to internet trolls. This is my favourite version, closely followed by Mexico where perhaps the growl is a little more forward in the mix Wembley was Marco's biggest concert, he said, despite a smaller audience than, say, Wacken. Perhaps because Wembley is iconic. It's a great show Wembley 2022 wasn't quite as good (I missed Marco) but still superb. Nice reaction. Bruno is a beauty. Love that purr. It reminded me of my Charlie who died a couple of years ago at 17. I haven't had the heart to get another First time in my 63 years I haven't had a cat Kidney problems are hard to recover from. I gave up with one cat but by sister said I should go to Chris Day, the leading homeopathic vet in the UK at the time I don't believe in homeopathy but that cat went on for another 2 years with almost no symptoms

You love a good growl? You should checkout a band called Jinjer. I love Floor. She is by far my favorite vocalist but when it comes to growling she pales in comparison to Tatiana from Jinjer. A good Jinjer song to start with is Pisces. You'll know which video to choose for a reaction because it has 79 million views.
He was allowed to keep them till he was 1.5 yrs old so they haven’t vanished and his frisky attitude to the ladies hasn’t changed and he was there but didn’t make his presence known until the next two videos 😙

@@noneofyerbeeswax8194 Yea, No growling in After Forever. Interested in your opinion since I know your are a long time fan of After Forever and Revamp. Do you think Floor is growling in Disdain? It's from their first album and some people cite it as an example of her growling. She is definitely using some heavy distortion in parts and there are hints of that deep guttural growl you hear on the second album but I could see where someone might not consider it a proper growl.
I was sure you'd like that growl from Floor. Although I don't like it at all and therefore will never become a metalhead, it fits this song perfectly and Floor doesn't overdo it. I'm very curious how you will like the next song. Again, this was a good job; Stay healthy and see you soon.👋
Fun fact: growls, and other kinds of vocal distortion, aren't intrinsically "metal". They come from hardcore punk. The old school doom metal (as pioneered by Black Sabbath) and heavy metal used clean vocals only.😊
