Floors parents being at this show….How proud they must be to see the positive and joyous effect their daughter and this incredible band has on thousands of people must be almost overwhelming for them. Sensory overload… Nightwish style.
@@nikkireviews In the lead up to this concert Floor was followed by a dutch TV crew> This program also features her parents (and briefly Tuomas and Marko). I can't remember if you have seen this show called 'The Reunion' before, but perhaps it's a nice little addition to your covering of the Tampere concert. YOu can find it here (dutch with English subtitles): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zRqqma4kWIg.html&ab_channel=Matrix
You asked a tough question Nikki! Favorite Nightwish song.... hmmm. Gonna cheat a bit. Favorite song for running is Everdream when the double base kicks in! Best headbanging song for me is Seven Days to the Wolves along with Floor's wolf scream! Favorite Floor head banging moment is Storytime! Favorite Drum intro and Floorgasm is Ghost Love Score! Favorite emotional song is Poet and the Pendulum! Favorite dancing song is I Want my Tears Back! Favorite heavy song and long note from Floor is from Devil in the Deep Dark Ocean! Favorite soft song is Dead Boys Poem. So many others I love but can't list them all! Great reaction again as usual too Nikki!
I could not agree with you more. It's like you wrote this for me, but one difference... my favorite song is Shudder Before the Beautiful. Can't put a finger on it why, just could listen to that song on repeat.
@@johnpagniello2178 UPDATE! My favorite concert opener and Tuomas/Emmpu solo dual is Shudder Before the Beautiful! HAHA Also my favorite growly Floor and maybe favorite rift is Yours is an Empty Hope. So many great songs to listen too!
Haha! Wow! I love that this was so thought out! But I totally understand. Different parts of songs make the song rank as "favorite" in different ways. It all makes sense and you have some great choices! 😁
Top favorite: 'The Greatest Show on Earth'. It's a tough option for a favorite because of the length, of course. It makes it a little harder to listen up 'on repeat' hehe But there's no way around it. It's by far the most meaningful song for me, even though I love their entire discography. Ah, I loved the idea for the next album, doing what you’re doing with The Warning. Yes, listen to everything together and at once. As Tuomas himself always say, the albums are designed to be listened to in full, and complete sequence of songs. This is the perfect experience (the genius said it, not me! haha)
Have you ever watched that Dutch re-union documentary with Floor? You should have watched it before this concert, but it's still not too late. I suggest that you watch that next, before going any further in this setlist. It's from user Matrix, and it's partly in Dutch, but there are subtitles.
Well, Nikki, pre Floor Nightwish faves (other than the 2 you mentioned) Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, Poet and the Pendulum (though sometimes I cannot bring myself to this, despite it being one of the best compositions I've heard from any band in my 57 years), Dead Boys Poem, Romanticide, Deep Silent Complete, Dark Chest of Wonders However, since Floor Procession Music Shoemaker Pan Weak Fantasy Endless Forms Most Beautiful Shudder Before the Beautiful The Greatest Show on Earth. Constant Emotional hitters P&tP DBP Procession Shoemaker 🤘😎🤘
Storytime is always fun to listen to, no matter the version. As many times as you have heard it now, you should be able to sing along with the rest of us. 😁🎶🎶. Of course we don't mind listening with you. Yes, The Warning fan here too.🤘🤘 I think there will be 2 more videos before the new album Yesterwynde , comes out. Listen to over and over again? Probably Romanticide. Next at Tampere. A new to you song. 🎉 The title track to the Endless Forms Most Beautiful album.
It's my belief you should watch as many versions as possible of each song. Every performance will have some little detail that is different or more obvious. That includes music videos and albums - the albums in fact often have a clarity in the mix that lets you hear more of the orchestral parts No 1, The Poet and the Pendulum from Wembley 2015.
Ghost Love Score was the first Nightwish performance I ever saw, and I can play it over and over without getting bored. It is definitely number one for me. Maybe that’s a boring answer. But that’s the way it is. There is an old performance out there where Tuomas leaves his keyboard, comes to the front of the stage, and headbangs. I don’t remember what is it offhand, maybe someone can post that link for you to check out.
Definitely not boring! We like what we like. 😁 And Ghost Love Score is a great one! I will definitely have to seek out that performance with the headbanging. Sounds like I would love it. 🤘🏻
@@nikkireviews I found it, at 1:22 Tuomas goes wild. This is the song FantasMic. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7NGE3ZAubeY.htmlsi=SEV5A1SzJNXFrKVZ
Of course we love watching your reaction to this song once again ! I could help smiling the whole song 😀 OMG, very hard question... Favorite Nightwish song... So hard to choose, they have so many masterpieces, and I think it also depends on the mood I'm in. It might be Everdream too though... I also love Marko in "Dead to the World", the energy of "Last ride of the day", the deepness and emotion of "The Poet and the Pendulum" SO hard to pick only one !!
Aw I'm glad you're enjoying it too!! And yeah, that's a great point - it does all depend on our moods. Sometimes that's all it takes to develop a "new favorite". ☺️
You should check out the 10th anniversary of Floor' s being in the band it's a compilation of Storytime over those 10 years and my top 3 hasn't changed since November 15th 2020 and are my all-time favorite songs GLS ,Storytime and Ever Dream in that order
Hard to pick a favourite Nightwish song for me, as it keeps changing from week to week. Currently it's Slaying the Dreamer, but it could be Everdream next week!
Love this version. Did you notice how Floor had to hold her dress down so it would not fly up from the fan? So many great songs. Storytime, GLS, or maybe Bless the Child. All of the live ones with Floor of course.
So many favorites... I can listen to Storytime on a loop, I named my dog Alpenglow, well his kennel name is that, and his siblings all have Nightwish song names as kennel names. How's the heart is beautiful song. Ever Dream is one of the best, I have it as my wake up alarm song, had it for years. GLS is good. Seven days to the wolfs is also a good one. But really I like almost all their songs the new ones and the old ones.
He definitely is shy when she comes close to him, not only that it seems to make her shy too (or giving him his space) she knows how he is in public which is fine.
Great reaction as always. Alltough this wasn't a new song to you. But different version anyways. I like to see you came back to old songs with new ears. You asked about favourite Nightwish-song. Mine is Ghost Love Score. It's simply amazing.
You do have a lot of music to do by Nightwish, You haven`t touched on yet. Human Nature tour is one , Hellfest 2022 and Deichbrand Festival 2022. The song Shoemaker totally gives you goosebump`s and alot of tears at the end. I guess Ghost Love Score is my favorite but honestly I love everything they do.
" Turn loose the mermaids " is high on my list of NW favorites even more so if you know the inspiration behind it, Huge Warning fan as well! give "Escape the mind" a listen sometime it was their 1st EP and is brilliant considering how young the girls were
Another great Nightwish live performance. Thanks for the reaction Nikki.Yes as a big TWA member I love what your doing with TheWarning Mondays and doing the same thing with new NIGHTWISH also would be great.Have a great 4th and wkend.
As amazing as the Wacken versions are, there are some better versions on the Wembley and Tampere concerts. The Wembley version of Nemo for example is much better (in my opinion) than the Wacken version. Floor had 2 more years to develop how she sang the songs, and Troy also developed what he was doing, and there are many improvements across the set. It's always interesting to hear different versions, and I'm happy to watch you do it Nikki. Keep up the great work 😊
