​@@wolfscoat6207 I don't mind Tarja. But in small doses. I never became true Nightwish fan back in the day because it was too operatic for me to endure for long periods. Also the music is a bit too metal for my taste back then. To me, Floor brings what Tarja lacked; versatility to mix up a lot of different styles making it more interesting and endurable. I'm still not a true metal-head, but I'm appreciating more styles now and can enjoy metal into my preferred progressive stuff (i.e. Ayreon, one of Tuomas' inspirations back then). Personally I find Marco's "phantom" unintentionally funny more than musically pleasant (in this one - I know he can sing really well for his style). It's "cool", but only that, not musical perfection imo. Henk Poort on the other hand, he sounds like the real deal. Probably because he is... In this one I was never sure if Tarja missed the last note wrt timing and pitch or it was an artistic choice of delivery, but someone else here says she was down with the flu - I never knew that, extreme kudos to her for even being on stage. She hides her real flu better than I experience man flu. But if so, I'm not holding it against her for missing the last note - most wouldn't be able to reach it on a good day. But this flu infested version vs Beste Zangers, for me Beste Zangers win by a solid margin - and I'm not really into the genre. Can't wait to see Henk with Nightwish doing the metal version.

@@NostalgicMem0ries no doubt that Tarja was the soul to the arrangements by Toumas. This is how we Nightwish fans fell in love with the band, with Tarja and her operatic skills. Very different to what the other bands like Within Temptation, Épica or even Evanescence at that time. With Floor, Nightwish had become the same as all the other bands. Not that it's a bad thing, but with Tarja... It was different

When they started to sing it Marco was not in the band and they used guest singers for the male part. After Marco joined the band they finally could perform it properly. When they released "Century Child", during the tour of 2004/2005 this was the most anticipated song, you cannot imagine how much. That's why you see those ladies in the audience almost passing out at the beginning of this video. I also had the pleasure of hearing this live in 2004. What a treat.
